Family will always be the most complicated aspect of a person. These are people you are related to, either by blood or by marriage. The effect of their actions can always cause a ripple in a person’s life. Zen’s family is total shit. I mean, you’ve heard of uncle’s scheming to take what belongs to their
nephews, but it takes a special kind of evil soul to turn the child of their brother into a goddamn slave. What am I even saying if these bastards could have their brother poisoned, and even ruin his reputation after death, what can’t they do? The levels of envy and jealousy you’ve seen before, can’t compare to this bloodcurdling unfairness.
Ah! The author of this book made a masterpiece. From magical abilities to the mix of modern problems and medieval society, this book clears all levels of awesomeness. I sat forward at each problematic occurrence that the protagonist encountered. And honestly, his cousin is a total assface. You will never feel more connected to a character than this.
You can’t ignore this precious page-turner. It’s thrilling, the mystery is on point, the suspense will have you biting your nails, and the action scenes WOW!
One of my favorite parts in the pummeling. In one particular scene, the way he picked up the stupid one who was going to accept him as a servant. With several beautiful smacks that rendered the bastard’s face bloody, Zen recited the necessary rules and regulations of the Luo family. The spectacle quickly gathered an audience filled with the little brats that were once eager to beat Zen for practice.

Part 1: Plot Summary ofApotheosis
The story follows Zen whose life is in the downtrend and has been so for the last two years. He is currently in this predicament because of his selfish and disgusting family members. They schemed against his family for the power they had and turned them into rebels. Zen’s father had been a good man, but Zen would argue that it was his nature of goodness that got him killed in the end.
Now, Zen sat in a cell every day. His routine consisted of being a punching bag for toddlers (bed-wetting little shits is more like it) and returning to his cell to read about virtues. Zen is humiliated and thrown around, his life put in danger every day. He has gotten used to the treatment, nevertheless, it still hurts his weak body that hasn’t been trained for two years.
After an encounter with his awful cousin, Zen learns that his sister is in trouble. He is frustrated and vexed by the idea. When he returns to his cell, Zen’s eyes catch sight of the useless book of virtues he has been reading every day for the last couple of years, and in his anger, he uses the flame of a candle to set it on fire. Zen watches it burn to ashes happily but afterward felt guilty.
He tried to pick up the pieces unharmed but found something marvelous within. It shined like gold and contained words. Zen subsequently experiences pain like no other. Pain that would give him the power to fight for himself once again.
Part 2: Main Characters ofApotheosis
Zen Luo
Zen is a young man with very superb aptitude. He was even praised by the king of the country once. If only what happened hadn’t happened, things would be so different. He was the former young master of the Luo clan before his family was labeled as rebels.
Zen has been through so much in the past couple of years, that he has grown from his experience. He has learned much from the treatment he received and the humiliation he suffered every day since he lost it all. Zen had been resigned to his fate for a long time.
He didn’t fight the wicked people at all. Zen took the insults and derogation without a fuss. But, everything changed when he heard his sister was kicked out of the cloud sect. She was the only one who had survived being labeled a rebel. Zen couldn’t help feeling vexed by everything.
However, because of this anger and frustration, Zen attains one thing that could turn things in his favor. He only had to bide his time. It doesn’t take long for him to emerge and teach a lesson to the ones who arrogantly trampled on him. What will Zen do next? He has power now, and it is unexpectedly higher than anything he thought possible. So, how will Zen use it?

Chapter Six
Zen is being beaten with such incredible force. However, the young man doesn’t feel anything, except the incredible rush of pleasant warmth within. Every blow from Melvin was meant to kill him, but rather than do so, it instead served to revitalize Zen.
He can feel the changes occurring within him, and he couldn’t’ve been more thrilled. We welcomed the beating but pretended to be weak to avoid suspicion.
Finally, Zen did not get up any longer. He stayed put to enjoy the warmth of the power radiating through him, as well as to avoid suspicion: all those blows should have been able to kill him. Zen has reached bone refining level.
Chapter Eight
They tried to get Zen to budge, but it was impossible. They instead tired themselves out with the effort.
Zen is currently pissed to the roof at what he heard from the two bastards in front of him. The first one was attempting to give him away as a servant to the other. It should be remembered that Zen is still a Luo family member. The act of giving him as a servant to a steward of the Luo family was a blatant disgrace and offense to the family.
Zen finally moves, but it’s not to accept the shit these two people are spouting. Rather, it is to pummel them to the brink of death. After he finishes with the second fool, Zen turns to the first. The same steward that had humiliated him in the prison for the last two. He beats that one to a pulp as well. When he’s done, Zen calmly walks out the door. The brats clear the way for him in fear.
Apotheosis is a great book. You’ll be addicted before you know it.
