Werewolves, out of all the romances, recently piqued my interest because they were completely taking over online reading platforms. I always feel taken to a realm of magic and adventure when I read a fantasy book.
These books are full of fascinating characters who have deep motivations. Plus, the plot often has dominant male characters, making the novel more interesting to read. Female protagonists are great for damsels in distress roles because they naturally flock toward them.

Part 1: The Plot Summary of Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate
After her mother passed away, Selene’s life descended into misery. Since then, her father’s relationship with her had become icy, and he would occasionally hurt her. His name is Garrick and would be her biggest nightmare. It comes a time Selene’s father lock her in a cave and subjected her to cruelty.
Selene of Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate was terrified and wished to die. However, there is a glimmer of hope in her that she, too, wishes to escape.
She worked hard at it, and fortunately, she succeeded. And that’s when she ran upon Bastien again-the boy who protected her when they were both much younger. However, it appears that the man had forgotten about her.
Selene initially felt frightened of Bastien because she assumed Bastien was just like her father, who would rescue her from a terrible situation only to put her in harm’s way later on. Selene surrendered to dread the moment Bastien brought her to his pack because of her stepfather, Garrick.
Selene was unaware that the others of the Calypso Pack were concerned for her, especially Bastien, whom she did not recognize as her mate. Bastien gradually helped her feel more at ease and revealed that she was actually a Volana wolf. The immortal life that Volana Wolf could bestow was something that everyone desired. Of course, only Bastien, Selene’s mate, would qualify for this privilege.
Bastien’s father always advised him to look after Selene. He didn’t yet understand what he meant at first because they were still young. He later realizes that Selene is his mate until Axel, his wolf, tells him. He had no idea how furious he would be to discover that Selene went gone as a result of Garrick’s actions. In addition, the knowledge that Luna, Selene’s wolf, was slain by Garrick made him even angrier.
Bastien, the male lead of Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate promised himself that he wouldn’t allow Selene to suffer harm again, especially since Garrick was on the run and had ulterior motives because of Selene’s status as a Volana wolf. Bastien will marry Selene regardless of whether or not she wants him to in order to provide the best possible protection because the mate bond can protect her. How he wished Luna was still alive for him to recognize him as her mate.

Selene
She is kind and upbeat, but after her mother passed away, all of that disappeared. Selene, the female protagonist of Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate had no one to turn to but her abusive stepfather. Selene slowly became miserable and sad. Before Baskien, rescued her from Garrick, she had always thought that he was his biological father.
Since then, Selene has had difficulty trusting anyone, despite the fact that Baskien, her mate, constantly reassures her that she will protect her. Selene, who had always had a cheerful disposition, succumbed to loneliness and darkness.
In Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate, her heroine faces adversity not just from Garrick but also Baskien, who believes the deception Garrick has told him about their relationship.
Baskien
Baskien is the male protagonist of Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate. Selene falls in love with him because of his mysterious personality. Selene is Baskien’s mate. Hence their marriage was inevitable because that was the only key to protecting her. But since Luna, Selene’s wolf had been murdered by Garrick, it was difficult for Baskien to convince Selene since she was dead.
Baskin and his wolf Axel were overcome with grief and made a solemn vow to protect Selene with every ounce of their strength, even if it meant taking Garrick’s life. Garrick, however, poisoned his thoughts about Selene. Did the mate bond have the power to unite him and Selene again, or would he believe Garrick’s words?
Garrick
In the story “Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate,” he plays the antagonist role and acts as Selene’s stepfather. Garrick has always adored Selene’s mother, Corrine. He did everything in his power to win her love, but he was unsuccessful until Corrine took her last breath. That was the beginning of him becoming a villain in Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate.
The readers would be enraged with Garrick because of his self-centeredness, and they would undoubtedly want to slap him. He was just a broken-hearted omega who cherished Selene’s mother but didn’t feel the same way about her, but it didn’t give him the right to treat Selene cruelly.
It gets to the point when he locks Selene and starts abusing her. He was mentally ill, and his obsession with Corrine extended to Selene, her daughter. But the moon goddess would never allow Selene to suffer another injury because she knows that Baskien will one day put an end to his reign as Selene’s worst nightmare.
Part 3: My Evaluation to Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate
Undoubtedly, this was a fantastic tale. Despite the cliched narrative, the story was well-written and carried out from beginning to end. It’s easy to get bored reading certain stories since the plot is so predictable, but “Pregnant and Rejected by My Alpha Mate” blew me away with its creativity and originality when it comes to plot twists.
I like how kind yet cruel Baskien’s persona is, and despite being the damsel in distress, Selene isn’t annoying. This is an excellent read if you like werewolf romance stories.
