How do you swallow the pain of losing people important to you? It is one thing for these people to die by wildly unforeseen circumstances, but this particular circumstance was just all too unreal. Honestly, the loss can do a lot to people. The loss could change your goal, it could take out the fight in you, and it could just be a catalyst for a shit ton of misery in the future.
One of the most altering things about loss is that it could make you unable to handle a new reality. Chase’s reality has just undergone some heavy life-altering changes and it is all because of the war. It is the most heart-wrenching thing to watch as the young Alpha struggles to exist each day.
He has no will for anything but to embrace total emptiness. It is quite understandable. He didn’t expect that the outcome of the war would be the loss of a vital part of his life. He never expected the complete turn of events. He never expected to see her. He never expected that to save him, that person would be so close by and ready to lay down his life.
This new life served to remind him every day that there was a chance, even though slim, for the people that were gone, to have been saved. The endless cycle of torturing thoughts prompts Chase down an endless cycle of drowning his emotions with anything to numb them. However, do they really go numb or is it just an easier way for him to distract his body?
Will this cycle ever end? What about the girl who suddenly stirs something within chase? Will she save him, or will they go down together?

Part 1: Plot Summary of Alpha Chase
The story follows Chase who is not dealing with the aftermath of the war which took many lives. And, some of those lives were an essential part of Chase’s. Therefore, unable to accept what reality has turned into, Chase nosedives into a life of emptiness.
He wishes for nothing more than to make his body hollow to this reality. He can’t get past the moment he basically lost everything, and he doesn’t even want to. Chase is content with drowning his grief with alcohol every day. He doesn’t have to face life if he does so.
In the process, he shirks his responsibility as the Alpha of the pack. A position that he now has to fill. It is a position he has always wanted, he has been training for it all his life. However, this wasn’t how he thought he would get it.
Vienna is dealing with her own issues and she didn’t need a cocky Alpha added to her list. Chase is trouble and she can tell this from a mile away. His cocky grin and hot stare literally brand her when she encounters him for the first time.
However, it seems she cannot avoid him as she wishes to. Or maybe she wanted to do the opposite. Out of these two people, the one that needs saving doesn’t exactly want to be saved.
The one who is meant to do the saving can barely hold the will with this uncooperative mess of a man. Why does he prefer to stay in his rut? Why is she drawn to him? Why does it seem like he doesn’t need to be saved and more like he just needs company?
Part 2: Main Characters of Alpha Chase
Chase
He is the new Alpha of his pack. Chase has experienced the cruelty of war and the consequences. In the recent major war, Chase didn’t only get the surprise appearance of his mother, but also the painful and reality-shaking death of both his parents.
Chase, therefore, refuses to reconcile himself with this new world where the ones who mattered in his life, mostly all left. However, we can’t control loss. It could happen anytime and to anybody. Chase fails to accept this fact, unfortunately.
And, with the appearance of the unfamiliar female, Vienna, things are pulled in a certain direction. Chase makes no mistake with his feelings. No, he merely wanted to play with her for a bit, see how long she can last.
Vienna
She encounters Chase, the Alpha who drives her insane. She knows this male is trouble, but can’t seem to get her mind sorted when looking at him. She wants him, her wolf wants him. But, with his baggage, will she be able to accept him into her life?
Vienna may see something wonderful where Chase sees only ashes, is she capable enough to pull this stubborn man out of his overwhelming sorrow and self-pity, and into something easier than the constant flames of war that he keeps burning in his mind?
And, maybe he doesn’t need someone to help him at all. Maybe, she just needs to be there for it all, and give him the assurance that someone will feel the same things beside him. Maybe Vienna just has to let him pull her into his world.
Part 3: Amazing Chapter from Alphas Chase
Chapter Four
Vienna is tensed as she faces Chase and his group. She’s frustrated by her emotions and confused. And, she doesn’t have the time to deal with it. She refuses to give them alcohol because of the rules. Instead, she offers water. Chase refuses though and says a few condescending words that piss off Vienna. She catches his scent and grits her teeth at his words.
When she mentions the rules, Chase only goes ahead to tell her to break them. Vienna finds it hard to suppress her attraction to him, and when she continues to say no, he gets offensive. Vienna bites back at him, and she seems to hit a major sore spot.
Chase’s friend, Callum, suddenly downs the mug of beer that was placed on the counter before Vienna can stop him. She leaves them behind to attend to other customers, and that’s when she notices the rogue that was in their midst.
She catches him staring, but when she goes to tell Chase, the rogue is gone. Chase and Levi try to search for him, but can only find his scent which disappears into nothing. When Chase gets his friends ready to leave, Levi passes on words of assurance and a wink that has the effect of making Vienna blush. Chase notices this and seemingly leaves in a huff.
