Angels Blood, a book by Nalini Singh was truly a whimsical mixture of action, adventure, and romance. She made a great job of executing fresh ideas which hyped its readers since the year 2009.
Now that Elena was carrying a heavy task and became an assassin, she had to follow the dangerous yet beguiling and sexy Raphael. But there was a mystery behind why they crossed paths so suddenly.
Although there were angels in this novel, Singh preferred not to mention heaven and hell as it could give a different flavor to the storyline. In this realm, some people wanted to be turned immortal and signed a contract with the angels.
They became vampires for 100 years after passing certain screenings. Yet, there were hard-headed ex-humans who opposed the rule and joined the evil side. It was the reason why Elena became a vampire huntress to track down those who went against the archangels.
First and foremost, Elena was the female lead who got the main exposure to this masterpiece. She was not an ordinary heroine, her characterization had boundless development up to the end which made Angels Blood more fascinating.
As she told Raphael in one of the inciting scenes in the book, she was willing to do the job however she never wanted to be manipulated or controlled. From then on Raphael realized that Elena was a one-of-a-kind woman, although his personality was undeniably terrifying.
At first, Raphael was looking forward to her death and so the same way as Elena. They started hiding hard kind of feelings in their hearts, yet things still changed as the two became familiar with each other’s company.
They worked together but with cautiousness in every step that they take. It was all because Elena was aware of Raphael’s impending capability that might put her life at stake.
Part 2: The Rousing Highlights of Angels Blood
As the Angel’s Blood moved over, Elena and Raphael’s connection with each other became more profound and stronger. Time passed and he was starting to become more of a human which startled him so much.
He was not expecting this thing would happen and it was all because of Elena’s existence in his life. Despite being an Archangel, it seemed like as he fell for her the more he felt his weakness.
This part made the story flow more emotionally attractive and created a realistic vibe for the characters. However, even though there was a tinge of attraction in her heart toward the hot archangel, Elena always keeps on reminding herself that they could never be a thing.
For Raphael was a higher creature and an immortal, she was guarding herself against making a dangerous step which could be the reason for breaking her heart.
She knew that anytime he could dump her because she was only a huntress being controlled under his powerful hands. In the later parts of this blood angel book, their romance still conquered all even if some twists and turns added more excitement for the readers.
Overall, the plot and the ending were satisfying although I still wanted more of the mysterious entities of the Archangels. I would like to commend the author for giving remarkable justice to the rest of the characters not only to the luscious pair, Raphael and Elena.
Honestly, I would like to tell more about how intensifying it was, but hey, I don’t want to spoil each detail.

Elena’s life turned 360 degrees when she met Raphael and the rest was history. This book astoundingly took me by surprise, I was expecting that this was just a typical fantasy vampire book with a strong female lead and her handsome pair.
And when I finished Angels Blood in one sitting, I admit I was wrong. The Psy-Changeling that Nalini conceptualized was indeed a brilliant idea for a paranormal supernatural trope.
A compelling urban fantasy that constitutes love knows no boundaries. This is a must-read for all paranormal genre lovers out there. It was like you are living in a futuristic city, a multiverse where vampires and angels existed.
Obviously, you have to start the series and grab the next book to continue the fiery romance and fly high to the limits.
