Part 1: The Plot Summaries Of Fighting Darius Novel
The first half of the stories in Fighting Darius book tells stories of Penny’s life in the Lycan world. Penny might be an ordinary werewolf, which makes her power inferior to Lycans. However, it doesn’t mean she can’t survive in the Lycan world. After all, at some points in her life, she also finds humans.
Penny has made three friends in her journey: Lily, Amanda, and Keisha. They have great times hanging out together and squealing over handsome Lycans. One day, after their exhaustive college experiences, Penny stumbles upon a drop-dead gorgeous Lycan.
In Fighting Darius book, Penny can’t forget the Lycan’s physical appearance, including his dirty blond hair, broad shoulders, and tall and well-built figures. True to the novel’s title, the Lycan’s name is Darius. Then, Darius’ smokin’ hot appearance continues to distract Penny as she relaxes in a nearby coffee shop with her friends.
Penny ends up giving Darius a flirty smile. For a moment, she forgets to focus on her tasks, and she enjoys it. After all, Penny’s eighteenth birthday passed a few days ago, and she can’t wait to meet her mate. Darius, the irresistibly handsome Lycan, is too great for her to miss. So what if Darius’ powers triumph over her?
Penny doesn’t even care if her other friends call her a boy-crazy person. The thoughts of inviting male werewolves to her party are too wonderful to miss. When she gets Darius’ love and ties him for the rest of her life, she will win over herself, and she will be the happiest woman alive, ever.
However, a werewolf tying down a Lycan will experience lots of struggles. So, we can find many scenes in Fighting Darius where Penny is tired of fighting over her lusty desires for him.
So, the question is, how come a strong-willed and confident woman like Penny gives up in her efforts of Fighting Darius? Will her relationship with Darius blossom into something more special?

Part 2: The Cool And Memorable Chapters Of Fighting Darius Novel
Chapter 1
As the introductory chapter of Fighting Darius, Chapter 1 tells stories about Penny’s life as a she-wolf living in a Lycan-dominated world. Penny is a social butterfly, and it is proved by her interactions with her three best friends: Lily, Amanda, and Keisha. She befriends Lily even though Lily is only a human.
At some points, Penny also remembers Genesis, her former best friend, who is already mated to another Lycan guy. The girls continue to have fun together, until Penny stumbles upon Darius, the handsome-looking Lycan. The moment Penny and Darius exchange gazes marks the first time their love and lust sparks over each other. At this point of Fighting Darius, Penny can expect more steamy love doses from the Lycan.
Chapter 2
Fighting Darius Chapter 2 has “three years ago” as the primary time setting, which means Penny was still 15 years old at the beginning of this chapter. Penny was still a social butterfly, even though she was more trusting. In this chapter of Fighting Darius, Penny witnessed betrayals from Lycans in her society.
Genesis changed a lot since she met Constantine, her Lycan mate. Since then, she hung out more with her other Lycan friends, making her look like an anti-werewolf woman, even though she still valued her friendships with Penny. Penny is also deeply in love with Prince Caspian, Constantine’s cousin, who has the mind of a 5-year-old kid.
Penny’s lusty feelings for Darius remind her of her past. So, that’s how Penny starts talking trash about herself. She thinks she is only a stupid ordinary werewolf until she can prove her traumatic experiences are wrong.
Part 3: An Analysis Of Fighting Darius Novel
A werewolf living in a largely populated Lycan world means either living in a brand-new definition of hell or risking a pariah-like life. That’s how Penny lives her life in Fighting Darius novel. Penny’s social butterfly tendencies and cheerfulness might make her look okay with her current living conditions on the outside, but who knows about what she experiences behind closed doors?
Penny knows that Lycans are like killing machines when they are mad. The only way to kill Lycans is to sever their spines from their body, which werewolves find impossible to do. Three years ago, she experienced these traumatic feelings with Lycans, especially with Prince Caspian, her former crush.
Everybody around Penny are Lycan: Alexandros, the King, is a Lycan. Prince Caspian, the former crush, who also happens to be one of Genesis and Constantine’s friends, is also a Lycan. All of Genesis’ friends after her separation from Penny are Lycans. Reading these parts of Fighting Darius makes me feel Penny’s pressure in living around Lycans.
Yet, Penny’s coping mechanism in Fighting Darius novel is one of the most unique things. She doesn’t let the struggles diminish her self-confidence. Instead, she throws humor at life and recharges her social batteries through socializing with her friends. It doesn’t matter if Penny hung out with humans like Lily. At least, she can have good times for herself and the people around her.
Another thing I love about reading Fighting Darius novel is the vivid description of the coffee shop where Penny hangs out with her three best friends. At some points in Fighting Darius, they mention cappuccino, the coffee type I love, and also the best coffee for socializing with my closest ones.
Part 4: Read A Similar Novel To Fighting Darius
Lycans, the shortened form of Lycanthropes, are not only more powerful, smarter, more charismatic, and more formidable compared to average werewolves. As a result, creating a nightmare for their foes isn’t the only thing Lycans a.k.a. Lycanthropes can do.
I bet whoever reads werewolf novels will find Lycans easily triumph over werewolves if werewolves became enemies. Many times, Lycans are the powerful and respectable supernatural beings in their society. Werewolves often refer to them as “Your Majesty” or “Your Highness”. After all, Lycans are the royals in werewolf societies.
Yet, what if Lycans met hunters and huntresses instead of werewolves? Then, I find the answer in The Lycan’s Prince Huntress, the alternative novel to Fighting Darius. Like Fighting Darius, The Lycan’s Prince Huntress also takes place in a developed Western country as the novel’s setting. The difference is that The Lycan’s Prince Huntress takes place in Canada, while the majority of the stories in Fighting Darius take place in Russia.
Bella’s father in The Lycan Prince’s Huntress, the most respected head-hunter in Canada, has taught her to hate werewolves and kill them without mercy. Yet, a tragic incident in the woods meets her up with the Lycan Prince a.k.a. her worst nightmare. Her life has changed since then.
What else could happen in Bella’s life as she encounters her worst dream? Will she surrender in the hands of this beastly creature? You can find the answers by reading The Lycan Prince’s Huntress!
