That’s why Edrick appears arrogant and condescending to Moana at first. Edrick’s arrogant face gets even more intensified when he doesn’t allow Moana to negotiate over the questionable NDA contract.
However, like most male protagonists, Edrick warms up to Moana in the middle of the chapters. As an Alpha, he is powerful and fearsome. Yet, he is also a protective and altruistic man, which makes him a much better-quality man than Moana’s ex.

The second loser guy in His Nanny Mate is Mark, the drunken man at the bar where Moana meets Edrick for the first time. Mark is so persistent in forcing Moana to be with him despite her indifferent feelings for him. Eve Above Story is right when she mentions His Nanny Mate will drive the readers’ curiosity. This novel is full of mysteries in each chapter’s plot. Even though not all plots have cliffhanger endings, the way the author word the paragraphs and phrases makes me want to keep on reading.
Another element that captivates my interest upon reading His Nanny Mate is how Edrick and Moana’s feelings grow for each other. Edrick’s heroic rescuing ways transform Moana’s desperate state into a more authentic form of love. The loving feelings start and grow naturally, which makes this novel even more likable.
Moana’s cool, calm, and confident nature in His Nanny Mate brings her to a whole other level than a female MC or a novel’s heroine. While she occasionally freaks out, Moana is generally calmer than the average novel heroines. I don’t see many scenes of her getting devastated by Edrick’s “disappearances”, especially in earlier chapters.
