Like any other paranormal romance that uses wrath and revenge as a theme, The Alpha King’s Hated Slave is a valuable and impactful story that everyone should hear about. By touching certain sensitive issues about moral nature, it earned the hearts of hundreds of readers and taught them massive lessons about life. That doesn’t mean it’s for everyone, though, as some scenes that unfolds in the first half of the novel consists of dark, mature and edgy tones that might be triggering to some audience.
The Alpha King’s Hated Slave is a standalone, and can be read right off the bat. It’s told in third person point of view, and writing pace is steady enough to raise the right amount of tension to get anyone stuck it in from the very first page.

Part 1: Plot Overview of the The Alpha’s Hated Slave
It goes back to the full history of the Salem and Momobana kingdom. He wouldn’t turn into a monster had Danika’s father didn’t let his greed consume him. Everything was going great between the Salem and Mombana kingdom. Both have their respective culture and territory to rule. Danika’s clan, mainly his father, had been once known the respected and feared clan of all the werewolves. Lucien’s clan, on the other hand, rules the Salem kingdom with rather much softer hands.
Their peaceful lives all came to an end when Danika’s father, Prince Cone, saw Salem as a potential supplement to his power. Never mind the lost of the innocent lives of millions of people. Never mind the catastrophre it might bring to an abundant kingdom. And most importantly, never mind the effects it might cast upon his family and future offsprings.
Everything is compromised to boost his power and move himself to the highest position in the whole werewolf community.
He led the attack on the Salem people, tarnishing their homes, abolishing the monarchy, and making every she-wolves as slaves solely apprehended to pleasure people. Lucien became one of them. His family’s unjustifiable downfall, the violent death of his unborn sibling coerced him to form a plan of revenge against Prince Cone and his family. Together with the condemned citizens of Salem, Lucien conducted a coup that eventually resulted to Prince Cone’s death and his family’s execution. However, Lucien couldn’t tame his anger by simply seeing Prince Cone’s head fall. He channeled his unsatisfied outrage to Danika.
He made her experience everything that he witnessed, endured, and cried about while he was a slave. He appointed her as his slave, a sex slave to be in fact, and ascertained that she’d go through hell just like he did.
As much as he forced himself to make her pay, Lucien wasn’t just born and nurtured to be a monster. And Danika is differnet from her father. Both of them were able to see through the mask they’ve been trying hard to potray.
Gradually, Lucien became invested to Danika and her kind heart. He learned to live beyond his anger, and trauma. Danika’s authenticity melted the cold walls around his heart. And from being his slave, Danika transformed into the most important woman in his life.
But the tragedy of their past isn’t the prime hindrance in their relationship they need to deal with. Danika’s father turns out to be not the only one who harbors intense desire to take Lucien down. An impending conpiracy is forming behind their backs. And this time, not only the lives of clueless people is at stake, but Danika’s life and her relationship with Lucien, as well.
Did Lucien really overcome his hatred? Or the appearance of a new problem will rattle his newfound peace? And how far will he be willing to dismiss his agony to save Danika from the uprising danger?
Part 2: Know the Characters of The Alpha’s Hated Slave
King Lucien of Salem
In the beginning of the story, he’s been constantly portrayed as this ruthless, and illogical king that feeds on the aftermath of his past. Truth is, Lucien is just a wounded man who’s still healing and still incapable to come terms with the repercussions of what happened in the past. If only Danika’s father had been conditioned to do good, Lucien might even be Danika’s potential lover.
Beneath his scarred heart, is a compassionate version of himself that he conceals to enact the revenge plan he swore to his parent’s grave. He’s the eldest son of the family and the sole inheritor of the throne. It’s rightful that he’s responsible, virtuous and selfless. His benevolence resonated with the current lives of the people of Salem. After his victorius fight against the egocentric Prince Cone, he worked hard to reclaim the peace and prosperous life they originally owned.
Princess Danika of Mombana
Danika’s family may seem a terrifying group of people, she’s nowhere near like her father. She’s the yang of Prince Cone’s character that acts like a true human. Anyone might even get the misconception that she’s been born out of wedlock. That’s how different, and better she is compared to him. When the tragedy occurred, Danika is confused and devastated as the victims.
She’s Lucien’s light among the darkness that surrounds him, and what guided him to salvation before it got too late. She proved that kindness and being able to connect emotionally are still an effective way to make changes in a world that seemed hopeless and imperfect.
Part 3: Evaluation on The Alpha King’s Hated Slave and a Similar Book on Dreame
Though both of the main characters are victims of the past, they’re still designed with flaws and realistic struggles. Lucien, being too consumed by his rage, and Danika, for not standing up to her own values. Despite this, they’re clearly made for one another. The romance is superb and doesn’t stall too much, blooming smoothly as both of rediscover the true sense of themselves.
I personally enjoyed the book to such extent that I’m looking forward to reading it again one day. It’s addicting, emotionally moving, and a great book to help you reinvent your views and beliefs. I’m giving it an 8/10, and encourage everyone eligible to handle mature themes to read it!
