Madelyn was expecting Zach to turn up in a romantic fashion and probably hand her flowers, but what did she receive instead? Divorce documents. Madelyn was immediately struck with disbelief. Yes, she knew that her love affair with Zach faced challenges, but she did not expect that it would get to the extent of divorce.

Part 1: All About The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning
Zach Jardin eyed the Jent family on different grounds, so he willingly got married to Madelyn Jent when the opportunity came. However, after eight years of marriage and with hopes that their love affair would blossom, Madelyn stayed in the marriage but eventually she got a divorce from Zach.
According to The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Novel, Madelyn was diagnosed with cancer. She spent her last days in the hospital, waiting and hoping for her now ex-husband to show up and console her in the hospital but nothing of that sort happened, instead she confirmed that he was indeed no longer interested in her.
Several text messages were sent to Zach from Madelyn, but he did not acknowledge even one of them, to her dismay. Zach was bent on divorcing Madelyn because he had a love interest at heart, and apart from that, Zach needed an heir. He had been married to Madelyn for eight years, but they had not had a single child together. The issue was that Madelyn had gotten pregnant before, but she had an accident that made her lose the child, and as a result, she found it difficult to get pregnant again, so Zach became desperate.
In The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Novel, it was narrated that after Madelyn died, something strange and extra-ordinary happened. Madelyn woke up again after a while. It was the most surprising feat for her. Madelyn suddenly jolted back awake.
Her eyes shone in shock. “I thought I died “she said to herself, but she soon confirmed that she had woken up from being dead, and her wrist was in a gauze. Also, she could not believe whom she saw when she woke up. Zach was standing beside her with expectation when she opened her eyes.
When Madelyn saw Zach, she reacted as if she had found a ghost. There was obvious dread in her eyes as she looked at Zach, and he noticed it. Before Madelyn died, according to The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning, she understood the sort of feeling that Zach had for her, confirmed that he could only be wicked to her, and in that state, she died. Only for her to wake up and see him again.
When Zach called the doctor upon her waking up, Madelyn came to understand that the reason a gauze was on her wrist was because she had slit her own wrist. Yes. Madelyn checked the calendar, only to see that she had woken up in the past to when she was in desperate love with Zach. Since Madelyn was fifteen years, she was in love with Zach, even though he advised her not to be, that he was not the man for her. But did Madelyn agree?
She insisted upto the extent of slitting her wrist. But on this occasion of her waking up after she had died the first time, she was determined not to fall in love with the dreaded Zach anymore because now, she knew better.

Chapter 5
In this chapter of The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning Novel, Madelyn was determined to make amends about something that happened in the past. Zach came to inform her about one of his childhood friends who would soon return to the country to live with them, and he wished that Madelyn would not be a menace to her.
The thing was that Zach liked this lady that was coming home, and they shared a special bond because they grew up in the same orphanage and depended on themselves. But in Madelyn’s past life, she had disturbed and humiliated this friend of Zach until she slit her own wrist out of frustration. Madelyn was jealous of the relationship that the said lady shared with Zach and as a result, made her take her life but on this occasion of a new beginning, she was ready to change and make amends.
Chapter 8
In this chapter of The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning, Madelyn’s new life was obviously speaking to her in various forms in the sense that, she was indeed ready to make amends. Something significant happened in this chapter of the novel by the way. When Madelyn died in her previous life, someone else also died. It was her neighbor, Ethan.
Ethan had his issues that made him wary of everyone around him. A troubled young man, he lost his ability to walk and Madelyn happened to witness one of his episodes when he was yelling at everyone in his family to leave and stay away from him. It all boiled down tot the fact that Madelyn had it in mind to do something different to change her past, including not getting romantically involved with Zach Jardin again.
Part 3: Conclusion
This book might be confusing to readers until one pays distinct attention of the timeline of events. The fact that The Rewritten Love: A Second Beginning delves in the back-and-forth lives of Madelyn’s past and present, makes it somewhat difficult to catch the message of the novel hook line and sinker. Apart from that little glitch, the book indeed stands out and I consider it a must read for novel lovers.
