The story tells of a man who is caught in a difficult predicament when he transmigrates to a world where magic and vampires exist. This would normally be something exciting and motivating to a certain degree. However, there is a little big problem; everyone thought he was dead. There was very little he could do to explain his miraculous return from the dead, not to mention the fact that the version of himself that died had a truckload of enemies. Will he survive this world?

If you think this is good, wait till you see a really cool title.

Part 1: Plot Summary of Magic System in a Parallel World

Magic System in a Parallel World: Sword Emperor

The story is about our resident smarty-pants, Leo. He wakes up one day and finds himself in a different world. It’s like the last one he knew very well, but there are a lot of major tweaks and changes going on here. For one, he was dead. Dead for about three months. This comes to him after he ran to school to write his exam which was supposed to take place that day. Leo doesn’t notice the shocked stares that follow him as he moves forward to walk into the building with an eyepatch over his eye – courtesy of his school bullies.

Leo is hindered from moving further however when his favorite person in the school grabs onto his collar. Leo has mixed feelings about Miss Camille delaying him from going inside and writing his exam, but that all changes when she tells him clearly that there is no exam holding that day, and he died three months prior. Camille takes Leo away before he can attract more attention. She couldn’t find a definitive explanation for why the dead man was walking except that he was from a parallel world.

Why Read Magic System in a Parallel World?

The magic, of course.

Leo gets to know that this world had magic and vampires, and the dead Leo was practically famous for slaying vampires and defeating bullies. The dead person was the complete opposite to himself. Camille takes it upon herself to teach him what he should know about this world before he went forward. Basically, this was a world that was very unsuitable for weak and defenseless brats. Leo could be protected by the story of Amnesia, but not for very long. This is evident when, not even before the school day was over, he got challenged to a fight. Leo has one month to grasp any knowledge and skill that he could use to protect and defend himself.

Unsurprisingly, Leo has big shoes to fill. Camille, although still having suspicions about the origins of this new Leo, trains him with the sword. Leo, however, is more interested in magic, and when he learns that he has an affinity for it unlike the dead Leo, he is eager to explore it. Camille is hesitant though.

Unfortunately, what shall be, will be. With the appearance of the system, Leo has a practical direction that he wishes to take.

Part 2: Main Character of Magic System in a Parallel World

Leo

Magic System in a Parallel World: Leo

He is a young man with amazing academic prowess, but an unfortunate ability to attract bullies. Leo comes from a poor background but makes it into a prestigious academy based on his genius. However, he is basically fresh meat for the bullies who pick on him constantly because he was poor.

It is why there is so much of a contrast when he learns that he was practically feared by bullies in the Four Witches Academy. Leo learns that the dead version of himself upheld justice and protected the unmagical minority group in the Four Witches Academy. The dead Leo was a sword emperor, the dude also fought vampires and killed countless; he was the pride and joy of the academy. Leo knows he has his work cut out for him.

Magic

He has an eager personality when faced with new and exciting things like the possibility that he could learn magic. Who didn’t want magic abilities? Exactly, no one. Leo who is examined by Camille learns that he has a powerful affinity for dark magic that could have easily put him in the Elite Witches class. Unfortunately, he must hide that fact about himself if he didn’t want people asking too many questions because the dead Leo couldn’t do magic. However, there is always bound to be a slip-up. Not long after becoming aware of the system, he gets a good magic teacher. This one’s see-through (You’ll get the joke in a minute).

Part 3: Intense Chapter from Magic System in a Parallel World

Chapter Seven – Lilith the Spirit

Magic System in a Parallel World: Lilith

Leo questioned the spirit, Lilith, who knew that he was from a different world. He was suspicious that this person had summoned him into this world. However, the spirit denied it. She’d heard him mumbling to himself in the shower. She laughed cheekily as she told him that she had been watching him for quite some time.

Leo pondered as he looked at Lilith’s face and asked her what she wanted. If she wasn’t there to haunt him, he wanted her to leave him alone. Lilith refused, she had been lonely and without a person to talk to for countless years. She just wanted a friend. Leo inquired about another ghost she could have talked to, but while Lilith was technically a spirit, she wasn’t a real spirit so she could not see ghosts either. Leo found it suspicious as hell. He told her clearly that he gained nothing from being friends with her. Then, Lilith offered to teach him magic.

Skeptical, he retorted that Camille could teach him. However, Lilith hit the nail on the head when she mentioned that Camille wouldn’t teach him as well as she would. Not to mention, she had the same affinity as Leo and was very powerful when she had a physical body.

Lilith gave him a demonstration. Leo immediately memorized it to Lilith’s surprise. It was at this time that the system showed up again and informed Leo that he had completed the quest. Leo followed Lilith’s example and instruction, and soon a hole was in the wall. Lilith was shocked by his horrifying magic abilities at such a novice level, but it made her smile.

Magic System in a Parallel World: Leo, the New World

Magic academies are so much fun. There are a lot of cool spells and teenage drama. If it sounds like the sort of thing that you’re into, then you’ll want to read a particular favorite of mine.
