Laila
Laila is the main protagonist of Falling For My Husband. She’s a strong independent brown girl who leads a busy life as a lawyer far away from home. Although she’s thirty, she’s yet to be married.
She’s the youngest of her six siblings and comes from a conservative enormous extended Indian family. She’s pretty and has so much unnecessarily stubborn hair that’s difficult to tame.
She doesn’t like the smell of real jasmine flowers or any flower at all, and her siblings think she’s weird about that.
Speaking of siblings, Laila has five older siblings, with the oldest ones being her sisters Periya and Chinna, and then the rest being her brothers Ajith, Arun, and Ajay. Her favorite sibling is Ajay as he’s the one closer to her age.
Arjun
Arjun is Laila’s prospective husband. He’s pretty much every girl’s dream man. He’s handsome, kind, rich, and has green eyes.
However, being that they just met for the first time during their engagement and he had confessed to Laila that he was in love with someone else, she never believed that one day she would start falling for him even though they were already married.

Chapter one
Although her siblings could never really wrap their heads around why their youngest sister wanted an arranged marriage as they rarely did it in their family, Laila didn’t mind.
It almost felt like she was just doing it so she could finally get married and compensate her parents for being lenient and not pressuring her to get married while she was in school and trying to figure her life out.
Laila looked forward to her engagement party that would be happening soon because it was when she could finally get to meet the man she was about to get married to even though she had heard a lot about him from both her parents and his brother Ram, who was her friend.

Chapter two
Impressed by how good-looking he was, another thing Laila couldn’t help but notice was Arjun’s weird mood. Stealing him away from everyone, Laila boldly led him to her room and then enquired if he looked sad.
What she didn’t expect was the answer Arjun gave her. He openly confessed to her that it wasn’t his intention to get married and that he was in love with someone else even though she didn’t want him anymore.
Those confessions hurt Laila but she masked them, hellbent on getting to the root of the gist of why he still went ahead with the engagement. Once again, she was shocked by Arjun’s honesty.
He confessed that even though he would take care of her and be kind to her throughout their marriage, he was only getting married because that was his grandfather’s condition before he would hand over the family’s company to him.
As weird as it sounds, Laila respected his honesty and his determination to keep his family company by any means necessary. This was all it took for Laila to go ahead with the engagement.
