Faking an engagement because of a broken heart got me so hooked and the entire reading experience was terrific. LiLhyz never failed to amaze me with her witty banters and narratives.
Also, the female protagonist was a total reflection of a modern young woman trying to live the best of her life. She is Ms. Moving On in my perspective. Well, I found it cool and liberating, just right to satiate my craving for a binge-worthy book. A plot like this was rare and awakened my inner goddess. And what I love about it was the lightheartedness of revealing each character’s feelings, a slow burn I might say.
On top of that, this must-read had a certain dynamic making it more interesting. There was balance in the conflicts and the character’s way of solving them. However, amidst the mesmerizing beauty of the ocean and the tranquility surrounding her was the inexplicable sadness she was hiding inside. She just came from a breakup, trying to move on from her toxic ex-boyfriend named Brad.
Kenzie was cheated on as she caught Brad canoodling in bed with Alyssa inside his apartment.

A first it was Kenzie who made the first move and greeted him with her flirty tongue. But what surprised her was the way he moved her. He playfully teased her with his outrageous pick-up lines. It was something she did not expect, he was a game-changer, somewhat domineering.
He told her that she was his wife making her stutter for a while. But he was fast like a lightning bolt and gave her a delicious, beguiling kiss. Kenzie was disgusted but deep inside she was awestricken, and she liked it. Yet, the two get along well and began to call each other husband and wife.
Knowing that Andrew was stuck in an awful situation with his grandma, the chance of meeting Kenzie gave him a new perspective on life.

This fun and quirky novel made me realize different things in a relationship. People are not perfect, and nobody will, just like Kenzie who learned to appreciate things amidst all the challenges as long as she’s with Andrew. Although it was a whirlwind romance, I still found it entertaining. The narrative and the character development were superb, and I could not wish for more than this kind of happy ending. A cute yet sultry vibe all compiled in a book full of love!
