The story is a complete delve into the life of a college freshman. Jaden had only just finished high school and here she was beginning a new chapter in her life. I remember the days as a college freshman. They were filled with so much anxiety and nervousness. You practically tried so hard not to look at things with the eyes of a nave child, but your emotions are always the last to catch up.
High school was supposed to be in the rearview and college, was right in the front. But sometimes, the devil plays a fast one on us and shows up where we are, intending to make our lives miserable. However, it is still our own choice whether we let the little bitch win or teach them a lesson they will never forget. Sometimes, we fail to see that something probably isn’t supposed to be torture. I mean, If the beast came back into your life even after you ran away, it is practically the universe giving you another chance to kill it.

Part 1: Plot Summary of My Brothers Best friend
The story follows Jaden. She got admitted into college and was to stay with her brother in his apartment. Jaden would have preferred it any other way, but this was the position she found herself stuck in. Her father was worried, so he wanted her brother, Adam, to look out for her. She is dropped off at college by her father, and when they knock on the apartment door, the person who answers is not Adam. Jaden’s eyes caught on the hottest male she’d ever seen, tattoos and everything.
Cade met Jaden and while he tried to convince himself otherwise, there was something undeniable when he encountered the woman who was so inexperienced and new to the world. She was fun to tease, but he would never touch his best friend’s sister. Well, that fact could always change. Cade grew up in a different kind of environment than the two siblings, therefore he could hardly help looking at them in a certain light. However, they were easygoing and unassuming.
Cade was used to a certain type of woman who wasn’t as innocent and inexperienced as Jaden. Yet, he found that while his brain told him to do one thing, his heart wanted another.
Jaden on her side was already quite relieved to be done with high school, because of the problems which arose before she left completely. Yet, she was only in college for one day, but it is all ruined when he spots the bitch who ruined her. Cade comes to understand that there is a lot he doesn’t know about Jaden. Can they overcome all the challenges that hinder them?

Jaden
She is a college freshman with unpleasant memories from high school. Jaden was the subject of bullying and slut-shaming, and for a reason, that is so damn unfair. Jaden’s personality may seem quiet on the outside, but a lot happens in her mind. This is not even mentioning all the blushing she can’t control whenever Cade decides to have fun with her.
Jaden is a well-developed character, perfect for the protagonist. Her adversity prompts an isolated life that seems to have no remedy, but that is only from an initial glance. Jaden lives a life of quiet for a while and in such cases, college is just the perfect place to be. It will practically take you out of the shell that you unknowingly use to cover yourself.
It is quite understandable for Jaden to make the mistake of thinking that college was the same as high school. She practically ran away from the one who had caused her to need daily medication. The dangers of bullying are endless. How is she to live a normal life now?
In everything, I admire the strength of the protagonist. She can push forward, past her awful memories. Yes, it was a long road she walked, and that makes it more amazing.

Part 3: Amazing Chapter from My Brothers Best friend
Chapter Five
Cade is drunk. He was relieved at the numb feeling that was absent of the weight which he normally carried around. He made it to his truck and got in. Cade drove in that state back to the apartment. He staggered out of his car and his boot catches on the mat. He fell face-first into the door. He felt the blood in his mouth and spat out a puddle.
He took the stairs and with a lot of effort, he finally made it to room 306. He leaned against the door and pounded away for someone inside to let him in. He felt so hot that he took off his shirt and unzipped his pants. The door was opened, and Jaden looked at Cade. She analyzed his appearance, and when she got to the unzipped pants, Cade saw her blush. Cade doesn’t follow reason anymore and trails a finger against Jaden’s lip. However, she stepped back.
Jaden worriedly touched his bruised lips and Cade knew it was the first step down a bad path. They made it inside, but Cade noticed the ice cream bowls and she mentioned one was for Will. Cade ended up acting like a douchebag which resulted in a shove from Jaden. However, she still showed up to tend his wound. Cade can’t control his body’s reaction. He whispered a warning in Jaden’s ear just before Adam showed up.
