I wonder why moody guys are appealing to readers lately so when I get to bump with Leave Me If You Dare I was kind of curious why Bill Sky is getting the attention of many romance readers. Wealthy jerks, protagonists who may be moody, and grouchier than the usual guy, are a common theme in romance novels.
The rich jerk theme in Leave If You If Dare is honestly not my thing but when I see the number of readers liking it, I was prompted to find out the secrets of why many people love novels of this troupe.
“Let me borrow your husband for one night and I will spare your dad’s life.”
The story premise of Leave Me If You Dare was about an obvious contract marriage with a bossy billionaire in which the other female love rival asks to borrow the female lead’s husband. The story comes with an intriguing blurb. Looking at it, it seems like Leave Me If You Dare is going to show a lot of relationship conflicts between the main characters, plus the colorful background of the characters. So, getting the story’s premise puts my curiosity on edge. So, let’s see if Leave Me If You Dare was worth our time.

Part 1: The Main Plot of Leave Me If You Dare
” Ms. Arabella Jones, our boss will be expecting you in his office at exactly 3 pm today. Please don’t make harsh actions that you will regret soon.”
Leave Me If You Dare starts off with Bill Sky of the great Sky Corporation being offended by an ordinary girl, Arabella. Bill was used to being popular, he is even given the title of the Ruthless King of the business world. Girls chase him. He was every girl’s dream but not Arabella who happened to not even know his name.
So, from that day of their unlikely encounter in the bar, Bill asks Arabella to get investigated. He wanted to know the girl who had hurt his ego. He asked his men to invite her to see him. For Bill, who was raised to do business, everything to him was all business, so when he met Arabella again he offered her a contract to be his wife.
For him, marriage was like a business, and just like the other girls he had in the past, Arabella was with a contract too. Yet, things get complicated in the middle, and so do their feelings for each other.

Part 2: Main Protagonists of Leave Me If You Dare
Bill Sky
Bill Sky of Leave Me If You Dare is egoistic. high and mighty handsome rich boss of the great Sky Corporation in Capital Z. He is cold, domineering, and even tagged as the Ruthless King for his not-so-good reputation when it comes to dealing with stuff. For Bill, saying no is a mortal sin, and yes means winning and that’s the only word he wants to hear.
Raised to become a businessman at an early age, Bill used to approach all things like business, even relationships. So, when he met Arabella, it was not just she had hurt his ego, but she was some kind of thing he had not learned all his life.
Bill’s character in Leave Me If You Dare was the typical jerk male lead I usually encounter in romance novels. Perhaps the colorful thing about his character was that he is promising. I see a thrilling and romantic kind of character development in Bill and I think this is the part why most readers like him.
Here in Leave Me If You Dare, we have a male lead, who meets a woman that is so out of his league, is challenging his bossy image, and making him vulnerable. That’s romantic for me.
Arabella Jones
In Leave Me If You Dare, we have an ordinary girl with extraordinary beauty and charm and personality. Arabella of Leave Me If You Dare is what Bill exactly needed so he could have his character development. I think the conceptualization of both Bill and Arabella’s characters was good enough for a romance novel like this.
Arabella of Leave Me If You Dare was brokenhearted. She decided to go home to Capital Z to heal and start a new life, but her encounter with Bill makes her dream of a new beginning a complicated one.
So, what I like about Arabella’s character here in Leave Me If You Dare is that we weren’t given a sweet-coated kind of female lead here. Yeah, she’s beautiful. She’s a makeup artist. She’s got a lot of problems, but she’s tough. Arabella Jones is at least a realistic character.

Part 3: Plot Review of Leave Me If You Dare
I actually find the plot of Leave Me If You Dare very common, plus the world building for me is kind of overdone. I just don’t think the name Capital Z was a nice name for a city where the love story takes place, knowing that the novel genre is pure romance. That sounds sci-fi to me, but of course I understand this is fiction and the author can name the city as they like.
As for the plot, Leave Me If You Dare comes with an intriguing premise about a husband being borrowed by the female antagonist, but it doesn’t interest me. What sustains my attention here in Leave Me If You Dare was the male lead’s characterization.
He is bossy. He is a jerk. He is rich and handsome, and popular, but then true love changes him. This kind of characterization still holds magic to romance readers. And I admit I am not a romance genre lover but this thing got me.
Part 4: Similar Book To Leave Me If You Dare
If you love the love triangle theme of Leave If You Dare, I think you will love She Belongs To The Alpha Prince too. Like with Leave Me If You Dare, this novel comes with a lot of relationship complications too, but I love this basically because this is a werewolf romance. The male lead here is also some kind of a bad boy, but I like his possessive character.
And knowing the mating rules of the werewolves, the love and hate and love triangle here was even more romantic for me.
She Belongs To The Alpha Prince was a kind of love story where the main protagonist is willing to do everything for love, and I love that kind of premise so much. She Belongs To The Alpha Prince is not just about a jerk moody alpha male, but also about an enduring love. So, I honestly love this story more.
