As a universal phenomenon, death is something everyone must face eventually. Just like what happened to Ryouma, God will soon pick you up and take you to heaven. But his destiny was indeed one of a kind, as he was the man chosen by the Gods (yes, there are three of them).
The fact that the Gods offer Ryouma reincarnation in a different world only adds to the intrigue. Read this fantastic review of The Man Picked Up by the Gods. For a start, let’s take a stab at the main storyline.

Part 1: What Is the Main Storyline of The Man Picked Up by the Gods?
Ryouma, a man in his forties who died in an accident was reborn as a child of eight in another world. Before that happened, he was picked up by the three Gods, Gain, Kufo, and Lulutia. But it serves a greater good. Once Ryouma is reincarnated, he will receive the mana he needs to restore the world in which he currently resides.
As he sets out on his journey, the gods pledge to guard him against harm. For him to remain unnoticed, he should pretend to be a ten-year-old boy. The Earth’s mana was slowly fading away. If that happens, humans on Earth will be in trouble.
Mana was like an astronomical balancing power meant to keep Earth in harmony. If Ryouma could not be located, then fantastical beasts would emerge. Given that the mana on the other world was sitting idle, transporting it to Earth is a good idea.
Despite this, it was not an easy task because Ryouma needed to be trained for him to be able to use his magic for defense. Additionally, he will have to contend with guardians who watch over the mana. To ensure his own safety, he must acquire new abilities.
His inherent magical abilities include detecting and manipulating magic and recovering lost magical power. Ryouma diligently practiced his craft until he mastered the arts of boost magic and alchemy, summoning, and slave magic and was thus prepared to enter the other world.
The further he traveled into the other world, the more he reunited with old friends who had also been assigned a mission. On top of that, he has to move to the forest, which is the opposite of his earthly lifestyle, primarily living in the city and spending his days reading manga and watching anime. It was a second life and second death situation, and Ryouma would do his best to save the earth.

Part 2: Who Are the Characters of The Man Picked Up by the Gods?
Ryouma
He was the main protagonist of The Man Picked up by the Gods and just your average forty-year-old guy who died after slipping on his own excessive sneezing, then hit his head badly. The moment he regained consciousness, he was the man the Gods had chosen to reincarnate as a boy of ten in order to save the world.
Gain
Among the gods of “The Man Picked Up by the Gods,” he is the eldest and also the most patient. He was very helpful in explaining to Ryouma what he would need to know and do once he reach the other world.
Kufo
Is the mischievously shrewd god who treated Ryouma sharply. However, he does not intend any harm; his only concern is his well-being. Kufo’s magic will be the sole way he brings to the table when he helps Ryouma defend the other world.
Lulutia
She is the nicest god in The Man Picked Up by the Gods and genuinely cares about guiding everyone, especially Ryouma, who will one day save the world.
Part 3: Hot Chapters of The Man Picked Up by the Gods
Prologue of The Man Picked Up by the Gods
The prologue of The Man Picked up by Gods explains how Ryouma first encountered the gods. The voices Ryouma heard when he woke up were strange to him. He opened his eyes to the disorienting sight of three people having a very obvious conversation about him. Startled, they told him that they were Gods and that he was already dead after he asked who they were.
Before continuing, he took a moment to collect his thoughts. The Gods assured him he would have another chance to live but with a mission. That was to obtain the mana from the other world. To achieve this goal without causing problems, Ryouma must be reincarnated as a ten-year-old boy. Ryouma agreed, and the Gods openly discussed what he should do.
Chapter 1 of The Man Picked Up by the Gods
Ryouma had recently finished training in this chapter of The Man Picked Up by the Gods and was in awe of his newfound magical abilities. The gods blessed him with enough magic to ensure his safety. Ryouma was surprised to see an old friend on his first day in a new world and even more fascinated by the fact that this friend would be the one to show him around.
Chapter 2 of The Man Picked Up by the Gods
Bandits in the forest began to suspect Ryouma, and the king’s son, leading to trouble in this chapter of The Man Picked Up by the Gods. His survival depends on his inherent abilities and the unusual assistance of a powerful slime.
Chapter 5 of The Man Picked Up by the Gods
After learning that Ryouma had saved his son, the King praised the young man. Ryouma politely declined the gift that King Reinhart had offered him in return. He recounts his adventures in the forest to sidestep the issue, focusing on how he used slime to defeat the bandits. The King had no idea the slime he was walking through was poisonous and could kill.
Part 4: Alternative Book of The Man Picked Up by the Gods
The novel adaptation of the manga is entertaining, and despite the large cast of characters, each one is noticed reliably. Regarding the technical aspects, I believe the one I read is simply translated, which is why it lacked specifics in many areas.
The story, however, is engaging, making it a good choice for young adults. I suggest reading Of Gods and War in Dreame if you enjoyed the story structure of The Man Chosen by the Gods. The quality of the writing will keep you turning the pages. Click down the pink box below for the link,
