The story of this masterpiece starts off intensely, with our main character Chungmyung being in a pinch as he sees a general theme of red around him. Red with bloodshed, unnecessary bloodshed that he despised.
Chungmyung clutched the sword that had been plunged into his left shoulder, realizing an entire arm was torn off and a gaping hole was present in his stomach. Though it wasn’t the pain that hurt him, it was the corpses of his comrades that hurt him and his heart. The most brutal gore encompassed his eyes.
His entire martial family was dead in front of him. Amidst this bloodshed was the calm Demonic Cult Sect’s Leader, the Heavenly Demon. Many people banded together to beat the Heavenly Demon, though they only amounted to a mountain of corpses.
Chungmyung’s sword was the only one that hit the Heavenly Demon, and so it remarked his sword as unrivaled. Despite the Heavenly Demon slowly dying, he was calm. Taking the sword plunged into his shoulder, Chungmyung approached the demon and sliced its head off, with its last words remarking how demon practitioners would come.
Despite killing the demon, Chungmyung knew this wasn’t a victory, as soon he was to die as well. His legs gave up, and all he could do was stare at the sky from Mount Hua and wonder what would happen. In an emotional moment despite this just being the introduction, Chungmyung cried for his comrades and caught the hearts of the reader.
The question was pondered whether Chungmyung could save people if he hadn’t lived his life outside the sect. Plum Blossom Sword Master, Chungmyung fell into eternal sleep following that.
