I love a good deception. Mainly the ones intended to hide the truth to make people show their true colors. This, right here, is a wonderful example. She’s a beautiful fairy for crying out loud, yet she was to be married to someone she didn’t even know.

A girl of her level has no problem getting the most handsome and richest man, but here she was being put out as if for sale. She was left with no other options. What else could she do when her old man had made up his mind? So, rather than complaint, she would make the game her own. They won’t know what hit them.

If they saw how stunning she was, there’s no doubt that every last one of them would fall in love. No, she couldn’t let that happen. She would get to pick the one she liked, so why not make them see something else to know their reaction to her personality first? They won’t see the awesome and drop-dead gorgeous heiress.

Rather, in front of them, she would be the pathetic, and ugly county bumpkin. From her head to her toes, she would be the last thing they expect to be married to.

It works perfectly, and the brothers are repulsed. They don’t hide their dislike and impatience with the ugly Elise Sinclair. But, how long can she keep up the ruse? Makeup is all well and good until it gets disturbed by water.

The author crafts a beautiful and comedic world with this piece. It really shows the realities of the world of the beautiful. The lack of trust for anything gained easily like attraction or love, is really expressed to a perfect extent within each chapter.

Part 1: Plot Summary of Coolest Girl In Town

There is little you can do when being treated differently for being ugly or beautiful. Elise was born with extraordinary good looks, so she understood that the world was partial and brighter for those who fell in that category.

Her grandfather had arranged for her to marry into the Griffith family. Elise knew she couldn’t change the old man’s mind, therefore she set forward a condition: she would have one year to fall in love with one of the five brothers of the Griffith family.

In that one year, they would know nothing of what she really looked like. She would hide her fair and flawless skin under makeup. She would look the most repulsive in the room at all times. In this way, she would get to know the young masters of the Griffith family, as well as see how they would treat her if she wasn’t gorgeous.

Elise was prepared for every scenario. Of course, she understood the possibility of being caught was high. Nevertheless, she was willing to risk it.

How was she to marry a man she didn’t know very well? Or maybe even one who only liked her good looks? Elise already has money, her family was wealthier than anyone could imagine, therefore she wasn’t looking to get more from the Griffith family. All she wanted was to see how the brothers were, without her looks getting in the way. But, what will she do when she’s caught not long after her arrival?

Part 2: Main Characters of Coolest Girl In Town

Elise Sinclair

She’s a stunningly beautiful young woman. Suddenly told to pick one of the five brothers of the Griffith family, she decides to stay with them for a year in order to understand each of them better. She would be able to make a better decision if she knew the brothers well.

Also, it would help if she fell in love with one of them. To facilitate this endeavor, Elise chose to hide her identity during the time she would be staying with them. She transformed herself from a beautiful and rich heiress to an ugly and plain countryside bumpkin. She is able to deceive the brothers for a little while, with them being repulsed and apprehensive of her. However, it’s not long before she gets caught.

Elise Sinclair is clear on how the world can be too beautiful people. You could say she wanted to test the nature of human vanity by hiding her good looks from the brothers.

Alexander Griffith

He is the eldest son of the Griffith family. He encounters Elise for the first time when she stumbles into his room one night. However, the next morning he is confused to see that she is ugly in the light compared to her fair-skinned self of the previous night.

When he encounters the beautiful woman who was able to beat him at car racing, Alexander cannot take his mind off her and he decides to look into her identity. Will he be able to find anything about the beautiful woman? And, what will he do when he realizes that Elise is the one he’s been searching for?

Chapter Eight

Elise is discovered by Matthew who is surprised to find the girl from the photo taken at the car race, standing in front of him. She had fallen into the pool, so her makeup was ruined. On top of that, she used a towel to wipe it all clean.

In her anger at the culprit, she forgot all this and answered the door. Now Matthew wondered why she looked different. Elise realizing it was too late to turn back, asked Matthew to come in for a talk.

Elise didn’t wait for him to finish asking his question, before giving her answer: she changed her appearance because she hated the idea of an arranged marriage.

Matthew admitted that they had similar goals, and Elise though confused as to why he wouldn’t want a beneficial arrangement, she still asked him to help her. Elise didn’t want anyone to find out about this secret.

She promised to help him in return, but apparently, she couldn’t help Matthew at all. Still, he agreed to keep her secret, before warning her to be careful next time.

When they returned to the party, Elise was faced with a situation where she was supposed to be humiliated: the dress she now wore was similar to Ashlyn’s. No doubt, it was a scheme to make Elise look ugly in comparison to her. Elise didn’t care, however. But, then the taunting got worse.
