Prologue
Zea Green, a final semester student whose thesis remains unfinished because her own supervising lecturer is making it difficult for her.
The 22-year-old is highly ambitious. Her achievements at the university are numerous, and her GPA is consistently high, making her a source of pride for the lecturers on her campus. However, luck isn't on her side. In her final semester, she had to face a cruel lecturer who ended up being her thesis supervisor.
His name is Andrei Evans. In fact, he is not a cruel lecturer in the eyes of his students. However, for some reason, he suddenly turned into a devil in human disguise after becoming Zea's supervising lecturer.
Zea does not know the cause. She clearly never caused any trouble. She has also never provoked Andrei's emotions. Throughout her studies, she has always been a diligent student. She never once questioned her lecturer. She always behaved well and politely towards everyone, and in everything she did, she always prioritized ethics and politeness. But for some reason, suddenly God gave her such a difficult trial that she once wanted to end her life.
Zea swore that dealing with Andrei was the unluckiest thing she had ever experienced in her life. If she could turn back time, Zea would choose to help her parents work instead of going to college and dealing with Andrei, whom she already saw as a devil in human form.
"Your writing isn't worthy of being called a thesis. It's a mess. A high-achieving student like you should be able to create scientific work better than this. Even a first-semester student could do this."
Those were the first words that managed to change Zea's previously good demeanor. Since then, she no longer cared about ethics or courtesy. She became an emotional girl who often spoke harshly. She even frequently contradicted Andrei's words, which eventually made her suffer even more.
"Oh God... whoever ends up being his wife, may she be granted patience as vast as the ocean." And that was the prayer she always recited when she was being scolded by Andrei.
