The Beginning
"Go," Jace said," Get Amara to safety." The last sentence that we ever heard from him. All stories are always the same when it comes to the Alpha of the pack. The only difference this time is that the vampires had another plan. Kill the Alpha along with the rest of the werewolves. That's where the story goes wrong. The vampire's forgot one werewolf, the Alpha's daughter, Amara Luna Grey. Now the new Alpha.  New day, new town. This time I have a good feeling it's the right town.  I've spent the last six years trying to find my pack or what's supposed to be left of them. When I was about 12 years old my father sent me away for my own safety while the vampires attacked but ever since then I haven't heard from anyone about what happened.  Walking into the town hall of ShalderTown was nerve racking. Something just seemed off when I saw the name of the town a week ago. Now here I am checking it out. The first thing I noticed when walking through the front doors was the terrible scent but I couldn't point to what it was. I shook my head and keep walking, making it seem like nothing was bothering me. Something pulled me out of my thoughts, I must've ran into someone because there was papers on the floor when my vision became focused. My vision always blurs when I get lost in thought.      "Watch where you're going," some rich kid said as I looked at him.      "You're the one who bumped into me," I said annoyed already.      "While you're at it, watch your mouth," the same kid said," Do you have any idea who your talking to."  I rolled my eyes trying to stay focused. Whatever that scent was, is starting to get to me.      "Kai Drew," Another older man said," Excuse my son's manners. What he should be saying is are you okay?"      "I'm fine," I said while looking at the guy named Kai," Thank you."      "I'm Mayor Drew," the Mayor said," You look lost. Did you just move here?" Wow it's that obvious.      "Actually yeah I did," I said.  I looked back at Kai but thank god he was on his phone or whatever they call them. Something was off about him and his dad. I just couldn't figure it out.     "We don't get many people moving out here," Mayor Drew said," What made you want to move here?"  I couldn't tell the Mayor the truth or he would probably think I'm crazy so of course I told him a lie.      "Uh, I didn't fit in where I used to," I said," And when I saw that this town had actual apartments, it caught my eye."      "Yeah sure it did," Kai said. This kid couldn't be anymore of a prick, could he?      "I should get going," I said," Plus your son doesn't seem to like me."      "That's for sure," Kai said.     "Kai Drew!" Mayor Drew said while taking away his son's phone," Ignore him. But anyways, there is a party for the town tomorrow night. Everyone's invited, you should stop by."      "I'm not one for parties," I said," But maybe. I should get going. This may look like a small town on magazines but it's still difficult finding things. So bye."      The Major didn't say anything else but nodded his head. Kai on the other hand was giving me a death glare. As I started walking away I heard Kai whisper something to his dad but to me it wasn't a whisper. He said something about me suspecting something.      I really was suspecting something because this town just gives me the creeps. When I was walking down the street I heard something coming from the woods, my name. Oh did I forget to mention I'm not just a werewolf, I'm also a witch. At first I didn't want to follow the sound but after a couple seconds I decided I would. Maybe it could lead me to what happened to my pack.      When I got farther into the woods, the whispering had gotten quiet then I heard something else. Someone else was out here. I looked around but saw nothing. Come on Amara, your smarter than this. LOOK CLOSER.      So I looked closer. Then I saw it, a wolf. Something else was out here. The same scent from the town hall was out here. I didn't know what to do. I mean this is the first time in over six years that I've been in the woods. I had control over turning into a wolf but if I was to right now then whatever lead I had of what happened to my pack would disappear. I said a chant in my head that would keep me safe, the same one my aunt taught me before we had to leave the pack. I looked up at the sky which was now dark.     "What are you doing out here?" A familiar voice asked.      I turned around and saw Kai. What the heck. Why's he out here?     "I could ask you the same thing." I said.      "Uh your eyes," Kia said," Wait. That's why you moved here. You're a wolf."     "I don't know what you mean," I said," Wolves aren't real."      "That's what people say about any supernatural," Kai said," But your eyes aren't like a wolf. What are you?"      Great. The first day of being here and someone already found out the truth.      "What? Are you going to kill me or not?" I asked.      That explains the weird sense from the town hall. This is where my pack used to be.      "Why would I do that?" Kai asked," The old wolf pack that was here over six years ago. That's why your here, huh?"      "Wait, how do you know about that?" I asked.      "So it's true?" Kai asked again.     "Answer my questions first," I said," How do you know about that pack? What happened to them?"     "I don't know what actually happened," Kai explained," Everyone here has heard stories about the pack but nobody knows the real story."      "What are you?" I asked backing away from him.      "Not a werewolf," Kai said," And not a human either."
