Ophelia always knew that she was different than the rest of her pack, she just didn't know how. Being the alpha's youngest daughter meant that she was always being watched. Whether it be by her overprotective brothers or the packs best warriors, she never seemed to get a moment of peace. Being 17 and turning 18 soon would mean she was soon to be bound to someone else for life. She's made it her life's mission to figure out what happened to her long lost sister. The only problem is she doesn't know where to begin.

Ophelia P.O.V       "Ophelia! Come down here please you can't be late for your first day!" I heard my mother shout from the first floor of the pack house. She was always early for everything so I knew that I wasn't even remotely close to being late. I looked at my clock and just as I thought, it was only 6:20. Not only had she woke me up but probably everyone else in the house as well.       "I'll be down in a few minutes mom, I promise I won't be late!" I shouted back. At this point I knew everyone had to be awake, nobody could sleep through my mom's early morning antics. Well, actually there was one person who could. My oldest brother Carter could sleep through just about anything. Sometimes I could've sworn he was partially deaf. However, I know that's not true because as wolfs we have impeccable hearing. I took about 10 minutes to pick out my outfit. It wasn't that I was trying to impress anyone or anything, I just simply suck at making decisions. This morning I was battling between my favorite pastel pink maxi dress that has a cut out right in the middle of my chest that ties into a bow, and a good pair of my dark cut out jeans with a plain teal tank top and a white cardigan.  When I finally gave up I decided that I only had time to throw on the maxi dress and some cute sandals. After all it did compliment my nice tanned skin and dark brown wavy hair perfectly. With my short stature and hourglass figure I almost always had random guys catcall me. This boosted my confidence at first but eventually made me wonder if they only saw me for my looks. Thankfully my hair decided to cooperate today so I was able to just brush it out and let it be. This saved me just enough time that I could throw on some eyeliner and lip gloss and head downstairs to eat. As I headed down the stairs I heard some sort of commotion going on. It was probably just my mother going on about some event she had coming up I thought. She was always planning some sort of event so everyone had an excuse to relax and unwind. Our pack had recently been going through quite a rough patch. A neighboring pack a few months back had begun to build on our territory without negotiating a deal with us first which obviously caused a conflict. I didn't get much more details than that because my father wouldn't allow it. Sometimes I wish he would tell me more, but he doesn't. Don't get me wrong, my father is a great dad and an even better alpha, he's just VERY protective over me.  This isn't without good reason though. When I was only 6 my older sister Karina was kidnapped and we believed she was killed. This drove my father practically insane, he was constantly beating himself up because he could never figure out who took her and how they got past the guards. She was my father's first born and she was taken from our family at 17.  She was supposed to be our future Luna, and she would have been a great one. She was the most caring, yet brave person I had ever met. She was truly just like my father and their bond was unbreakable. After she was taken my dad made sure that although I could go wherever I wanted, someone had to be watching me or at least with me (since I refused to have bodyguards with me).    "What's for breakfast today mom?" I heard my brother Carson ask. Carter and Carson are twins, Carson being 5 minutes younger than Carter. Although they looked practically the same, they couldn't be any more different.  Carter is about 6'1, very built with blonde hair and hazel eyes. The only difference between Carter and Carson physically is that Carson is 1 inch shorter. Which Carter obviously holds over his head and teases him about it whenever he gets the chance. Personality wise though, Carter is a tough guy on the outside but very lovable on the inside. Carson however, he's a teddy bear inside and out and everyone knows it.     "I'm not sure actually, I didn't get the chance to help Mrs.Kirk cook breakfast this morning." My mother responded in her unusually chipper voice.  Mrs.Kirk was an omega that my father had hired to cook for everyone in the pack house alongside his other omega's. However, although her rank we still all loved and cherished her equally. She really helped my parent's get through the loss of my sister and for that we were forever grateful.     "Well.. what are we waiting for! Let's go see what deliciousness she's cooked today!" I said in the most energetic way possible. If there's one thing that could get me motivated and ready to start my day, it was food, especially hers.  I walked over to the island in the kitchen and sat in my favorite stool. I never really had a reason for why it was my favorite, it just simply was.     "Good morning Mrs.Kirk! Can I pretty please have some breakfast?" I said with my best pout then smile combo. I knew she would never turn me down but sometimes that combo earned me a freshly baked snack later.     "Good morning sweetie, I made a fresh yogurt parfait this morning and of course there's some bacon on the side because you know the boys would complain if I didn't make some sort of meat too." She said with a light chuckle.  I gave her a quick thank you and a big smile as I loaded my plate up and went to eat. I checked my watch and realized I only had 15 minutes to scarf down my food and get ready to leave.     "Where's Carter?" I asked with my mouth half full realizing that he still wasn't down here eating with us.   "You know him Lia, he's probably still asleep having some stupid wet dream" Carson laughed as he ate a piece of his bacon.  My mother shot him a glare which made him stop laughing immediately and mumble a quick apology. I figured I had better go wake him up if he had any chance of getting some food in him before we had to leave so I shoved the rest of my bacon in my mouth and went running up the stairs.  As I approached his door I smelled something out of the norm. I knocked slowly but loud enough that I knew he could at least hear it partially in his sleep. When he didn't answer after a few seconds I turned the handle and let myself in.  I looked over towards his bed and saw him sleeping with his mouth open and him drooling on his pillow....gross! I had two plans on how to wake him up. Plan A (the nice plan)- wake him up by gently shaking him. I knew this plan probably wouldn't work but sometimes I figured I should be nice and try. Then there's Plan B (the not so nice plan)- get a cup of freezing cold water and throw it on him. This plan I enjoyed much more than plan A.  I walked over and proceeded with plan A, shaking him lightly. This clearly wasn't going to work because all I got in return was a groan and him finally shutting his mouth.     "So much for being nice to him for the first day of his senior year" I thought to myself.  I walked into his attached bathroom and grabbed the cup that I had stashed underneath his cabinet. He never went under there for anything so he never figured out that it was down there.  I turned the sink on and let the water run till it was as cold as it was going to get.     "Go time" I thought as I chuckled lightly out loud while walking to his bed. Before I could pour it on him I heard a sharp, "Don't even think about it" come from his mouth.  I gasped and quickly tried to hide the cup of water behind my back which unfortunately backfired and wound up with me spilling it on his floor.     "I wasn't doing anything I promise! I just got thirsty Car." I said with my best pout. I knew he would get me back for even thinking about dumping cold water on him but I could at least try and make it not be so bad.    "Whatever you say Lia, but watch your back you know not to mess with my sleep. Now get out so I can get ready please." He responded still slightly groggy from waking up.  I nodded and quickly ran back down the stairs to get ready to leave. I don't know how but somehow Carter always managed to get ready in 3 minutes and get down the stairs and in the car within another 2. Talk about the king of procrastination over here. Hopefully when he took my father's spot as alpha this would change. After getting a couple of photos for our mom in front of our weeping cherry tree we loaded up in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler that Carson got as a birthday gift. I leaned my head against the window as we pulled out of the driveway and thought about what I wanted for my 18th birthday that was coming up in just a few days. 18 would be my most dreaded year yet. You see, at 18 we're supposed to find our mates and while most are beyond excited for that- I'm not. For as long as I can remember I've had this crush on a specific member of our pack, and for the last 3 months he's been showing signs that he likes me too. He's younger than me by 3 months though and I'm worried that when I turn 18 someone else will be my mate.  However, my brothers are 19 now and still haven't found their mates. Nobody knew why that hadn't, nor could the elders council provide us an explanation. The only answer anyone could give them was "be patient, maybe your mates aren't from our pack." and I know they grew tired of hearing it. So, I did what any sister would do and helped them stay distracted. I made sure that at least twice a week we went out to the city and did something fun.  A car horn abruptly stopped my train of thought. I snapped my head up quickly sensing that something was wrong.
