1. Isabella
“Say it one more time, you dimwit!” Isabella hissed, smashing the guy right against his own locker. His legs were trembling and so was his posture, for someone of the height of 5’10”, the bully was sure scared as hell from the tall 5'8", broad girl holding him against the locker. The entire school had gathered around in the corridor, witnessing the one sided fight put on by Isabella. “Jeez, just let him go!” One of the guy watching the scene shouted. “Not so strong enough now huh?” Isabella shouted looking right into the eyes of the boy she was holding. “Dude, I am sorry okay? I won’t do it again.” the guy murmured lowly, already feeling insulted at being held back by a girl. But no one in the crowd was actually blaming him because it was clear as day that who was more powerful. Physically! Isabella smirked, darkness pondering over her eyes, she flicked her head to the side, moving away the flick of hair covering her forehead so her dark eyes are more prominent to the boy. “Say it out loud!” she hissed at him, pushing him even more further back into the lockers. “I am sorry dude!” he yelled out loud, apologizing to the innocent boy he was bullying moments ago, just wanting to get away from Isabella. She smirked, stepping away and leaving his collar. She shrugged it off and walked right out of the crowd. She patted the back of the small heightened boy who had been the center of bullying and smiled at him. he mouthed her a thanks and she walked towards her class. “Bella!” she heard a soft voice scream her name and she groaned, not stopping, knowing that her friend Hannah, who was calling for her would still catch up with her anyways. She took in a left turn down the big hall reaching for her class that she was getting late for. “You really are a twit! Why did you have to fight? Aren’t you scared of what might happen, if it were to reported to the principal….” Hannah began with the lecture and Isabella simply rolled her eyes. She entered the chemistry lab and walked up to her seat. She saw some other kid sitting at her usual place, squinting her eyes at him, she kept her pace which made the guy leave his spot immediately. She settled down and continued with her activities while Hannah took her seat next to her and kept babbling. “You still aren’t affected? What if the principal reported your father? Do you know he would’ve grounded you…” Rolling her eyes at once, Isabella turned towards Hannah, “And for the least I could do about all of that is care-less. Now I don’t give two flying f***s about any of the shits you’re talking about.” She smiled and turned her face back towards the board where the teacher had entered. Hannah shock her head and diverted her attention at the teacher. Isabella’s phone beeped in her bag pack and without much consideration she picked out her Motorola flip phone and smiled looking down at the text. Harry: Good job with the t**t! She immediately texted in her reply and concentrated back at the lecture. Hannah was able to peek a look at the text by Harry and she practically rolled her eyes sensing how negatively he was impacting her friend Isabella. As the lecture ended, Isabella made her way towards the football ground and Hannah followed her in. “Why are you in such a rush?” she complained catching up with Isabella. “It’s Tuesday which means Harry is doing his laps.” Isabella smirked, entering football ground and securing her place at the bleachers. Girls had already lined up, patiently at the bleachers, the cheerleaders already practicing while the football ran in laps, mostly shirtless showing off their toned chests and bodies. But Isabella was focused on only one boy. Harry! Harold Edwards. Or more precisely; Prince Harold Edwards II, the rightful heir, first born to the king of the England. The boys taking laps, paused for their breaks and Harry’s gaze went to the bleachers searching for his best friend, he waved at her as she waved back excitedly, stealing glances at his chiseled chest and toned abs, leading down to his trunk covered torso. Isabella blushed slightly over her crush on her best friend. She had been in love with him as long as she can remember, since she was nine perhaps. The two had been childhood buddies as her father served as an advisor to the King and the two hung around due to the elite socialization of their parents. Harry knew his influence and power, ever since he was born, he was told his position and power over people. He was picky and choosy over making his friends and never had one except till he met the tom boyish yet charming and funny Isabella when he was eleven. He didn’t like her right away but Isabella proved herself to me more worthy of a friend as he felt understood and more connected to her. he understood how she never took any interest in him being a prince rather she saw him as Harry, a nickname she gave him. Isabella on the other hand, just wanted to be friends with Harry, not because he was a prince but because she found the boy cute and developed a crush on him. Now all grown up, the two were still best friends and cared more of each other than anyone else. “You know you’re just stuck in a daze, right?” Hannah coughed at Isabella making her look with confusion. “What do you mean?” she asked with confusion. “I mean, could you not just see, you’re just a friend to him Isabella, stop dreaming for more.” She warned her with a stilt tone. “I know, why do you keep saying that?” Isabella rolled her eyes with annoyance. “Because I don’t want you get hurt.” Hannah blurted and Isabella got up not wanting to repeat the same lecture her friend had been giving her ever since the two met. Hannah was a victim of bullying and being a soft hearted toughie she was Isabella came to her rescue and ever since, Hannah stuck up to her even if Isabella didn’t enjoy her company that much. Nobody eventually messed up with Isabella, given to her tall height of 5’8” and her broad physique that made her more boyish, even marinated by her short bob curly brunette hair. She wore baggy clothes, mostly stolen off from her brother’s closets, because her mother bought skirts and gym packages for her. “Come on Bella, I have told you multiple of times! Harry doesn’t see you more than a friend.” Hannah shouted making Isabella stop her tracks. “Why the hell do you keep on saying that? What is your problem?” Isabella shouted back once she reached her locker and opened it up, ignoring eye contact with Isabella. “Because I see the way you look at him; it is clear that what you feel is different from what he feels. Stop that! Look at the kind of the girls he picks and then look at you. It doesn’t take much to add two and two.” Saying that Hannah walked away leaving Isabella alone with her thoughts. She kept thinking what Hannah said to her. she wasn’t wrong though! Harry did pick up the hottest cheerleader to hang around with, the prettiest girl from the class and the sexiest nerd to study with. But what kept Isabella sane was the thought that none of the girls lasted long in his life except of her and with that hope she always kept her mind uptight in the hope of someday ending up with Harry. Standing in front of the wall mirror in her bedroom, she pulled back the lose t shirt she wore by the waist and noticed the huge bulge on her belly, lack of curves, broad chest and big molds hanging off her body. There was nothing in her body that Isabella didn’t like. She liked the way she looked, in fact she enjoyed it. Her biggest binging food was a burger that she couldn’t go one day without having and leaving all of that behind for a curvy and slim body was just not Isabella’s style of living. She made her way down the spiral stairs, bumping right into her sister, Emily, she was seven years older than her but looked younger because of her ever so fresh, daily cleansed skin and lean figure. She was short in height but looked just as tall as Isabella because of her sketchy figure and pointed looks. “Don’t do that to me again, you might kill me.” Emily taunted Isabella, brushing her brunette hair off her shoulder. Isabella rolled her eyes, walking past her older sister who was twenty-three yet still just a socialite entrepreneur who had her own ‘event planning’ company funded by their father, John Rowan. He worked as an advisor to the King of the England and had secured a top position among the elites of their social circle, making his wife and Isabella’s mother Diana, a hot headed and arrogant woman who was flushed with power and position. Something that Isabella always distasted. Even with Harry she felt overwhelmed at times because of his influence on people, as he was always the center of attention of everyone and he enjoyed it but she foresees all of that only to see the real soft hearted person he was on the inside. “Oh honey, could you just like wear something bearable for at least Friday night?” her mother complained looking at her baggy clothes. Isabella looked at her mother who sat in the patio of their lawn, sipping on her evening tea, wearing a lush white body hugging dress. Even in her late forties, her mother was leaner and thinner than Isabella, which a straight brown shoulder length hair cut that gave her a corporate look with pointed features just as Emily. Isabella had more of a rounded face, big eyes, pointed nose and plummy lips, a mixture of her parents just like her brother; Aaron who studied in America. The two siblings looked almost twins, some people even confusing them as twin brothers. “What’s so special about Friday?” she asked her mother, taking a seat over the white furniture. “Seriously? It’s his grace’s birthday.” She reminded her with a scowl. Isabella bit her tongue internally, “I almost forgot." She put her legs over the table in front of her and mother threw her a death glare, the one that could make anyone piss their pants but Isabella was even immune to that. She heard a hard voice clearing their throat that made her turn and look at her father who stood with his chest bulged out and his hands behind his back. She immediately straightened up, sitting straight over the chair. Her biggest fear was her father’s wrath. Colonel John Rowan, or ex-colonel retired General John Rowan, who was a millitarian but due to his peculiar ethics in the army he was chosen as an advisor for the King. But even after ten years of being retired from the, he still had the gush of serving his life for his country and had eventually turned his house into a marshal training camp. He had his authority on every one and was the only one person on earth that Isabella actually feared. ________________________________________________ Isabella rummaged through the crowd of the cheerleaders passing down the hallway out of their lockers, getting ready for the basketball game. She reached inside the boy’s locker room with all the confidence having no worries, she went searching for Harold. “Seriously?” she heard a voice coming from behind her. On turning she saw Charlie standing in the alleyway, wearing nothing but his sports shorts, his wet hair dripping water down his toned abs. he was a year older than Isabella and younger than Harold, being his younger brother, he was everything just like him in looks except for his eyes, they were brown, much warmer than Harry who had ice blue eyes. “Where is he?” she asked, not much bothered by Charlie who was just another mean bully to her. “You know…” he leaned against the lockers, crossing his arms casually, “I see why you aren’t much bothered by coming inside a boys’ locker room. Many confuse you as our coach anyways.” He snickered, smirking and turning around. Isabella felt heat rise over her cheeks, as she paused looking around for a moment and felt Charlie’s words hit a pang inside her heart. It was a second time during the day when someone had made her feel vulnerable and weak. And no matter how hard she had tried, Charlie always was able to get under her skin. But she never told Harry about her bullying. She knew that Harry would step ahead for her and fight his own brother and she didn’t want to be the reason for the two brothers to fight. She shrugged off his words, rolling the tears back inside her eyes she walked up to Harold’s locker and saw him already confided against a group of two girls as he leaned against the lockers and the two stood sultrily, leaning ahead, definitely flashing off their bulgy chests. They were lean, way too lean for Isabella to even compete. Jealousy took over her system as she rushed past the two girls and finally caught Harry’s attention. “You done w*****g around?” she smiled at him, grabbing his hand and walking him away from the two astounded twins perhaps. “Oh well hello to you too!” he claimed ahead and rolled his eyes as she stopped near the gym exit gate. “I submitted your assignment, you douche.” She commented at him. He stood with squinted expressions reading Isabella’s face clearly. His blue eyes reached her green ones and his sharp jawline, contoured his cheeks perfectly while his plain straight nose bulged sideways perfectly that just added more to his beauty. His hair were not sprayed or gelled yet they sat perfectly over his head in a thick mess, matching his thick eyebrows. “Now, which assignment?” he c****d an eyebrow, “Mr. Stuart’s.” she c****d back at him. His eyes bulged out as he realized that the due date was near, “Oh f**k man!” he puffed out a breath, “I would’ve been dead meat without you.” He commented and pulled Isabella in a hug. She smiled feeling his warm lean yet muscle smitten arms wrapped around him, his strong cologne whiffed inside her nostrils and his warm breath feeling hot over the skin of her shoulder. “Now go and kill it out there.” She pulled back missing his hug but smiled once he winked and left for the gym to kill the game. She followed him out and watched as the game rolled. With each slam he dunked, he looked over the crowd and smiled and waved at Isabella. Appreciating how because of her he was able to be on top of his game and pull through practices. Isabella smiled looking at him roll off smoothly and smiling with each basket he scored. For that smile, I would do anything! She thought to herself and smiled. Her gaze shifted towards the crowd and was rendered still when she saw Hannah walking down towards her in the cheer leading outfit, with the red skirt flaring down over her blue tight turtle neck jersey. Hannah rolled her pompoms up in the air, brushed her shoulder past Isabella. The two had not been on talking terms recently and the downfall was Hannah’s constant reminder of how Isabella looked and would never be able to have Harold. Isabella never found Hannah dangerous but now something felt off to her. _________________________________________________
