So, it's obvious that Lucy's life, after Alex, had to continue, but the problem was that she didn't know which direction to take. She fled the apartment she shared with Alex for obvious reasons, but her life ended there. She had no one to turn to, she had no friends or close family. Her shared relationship with Alexander Sullivan had been so absorbing, that she now had no one to turn to, she didn't know, or rather, she didn't feel close enough to anyone to ask for help. The only thing she had was a suitcase and the savings her mother had left behind. At this very moment, Lucy was somewhere in New York City, sitting on a bench staring into the horizon, lamenting her life. - *You will need a job, my dear Andalusia* - she thought - That's what I'm afraid, my dear Lucy - she said to herself - And also a place to sleep, eat and, I suppose, live. *You won't start crying, will you?* And what use would she be? -She sighed-What am I going to do now? Really all I want is to run away from this city forever. *Do it, it's what you've always dreamed of, right?*. "Exactly what Alex would say," she laughed bitterly. "Ah!" -she shouted frustrated- How am I going to solve this if all I do is complain? I should be on a plane heading to the city I always wanted to live in, not here lamenting and listening to my conscience. So, Lucy headed to the airport in the city where she lived. -Cab! I was sitting on the plane that would take me to London, thinking about all those problems that I had to solve as soon as I arrived, when a kind voice interrupted my meditation: -Miss, would you like something to drink? -I shook my head- Headphones? -I repeated my action- Something else? - No, thanks. "I'm fine," I smiled sincerely. I smiled, I thought. He hadn't done it in a long time, and that was a strange thing for me. He loved to smile and laugh because both reactions only occur spontaneously in moments of true happiness. Like now, it made me happy that someone, obviously because it was his job, cared about me. I continued thinking about my new home city, and everything I needed to do before enjoying it. I sighed. It would finally be there, but I couldn't get drunk on its essence. I smiled bitterly. What mattered was that he would live there. Andalucía arrived at Heathrow around 3 am, without having the slightest idea what to do. It was late and it was snowing outside. The most sensible thing was to take a taxi and ask to take her to a hotel, but she preferred to take a taxi and ask to be dropped off at a supermarket open at that time. She left her at a gas station that had a kind of minimarket open 24 hours a day. She bought a coffee and went out into the street. She walked a little until she saw a seat. She sat up and sighed, really feeling cold, she could perfectly see the steam emanating from her breathing. She thought for a while about what would happen now. Where would she go? What would she do? And so all those doubts that she had been turning around in her head as soon as she left Alex began to appear. She managed to answer some with some insecurity, but to others she didn't know what to say. - Excuse me, could you tell me what time it is? -said an unknown voice, breaking me out of my thoughts. "After 3 in the morning," I responded without interest. - Sorry, I'm very sorry to bother you this way, but could you be more exact? - he said, changing the formal you for a normal you. I thought about asking him why he didn't buy a watch or a phone and leave me alone, but I knew that he wasn't to blame for my annoyance and it was wrong to take it out on him. I relaxed a little and answered sweetly: - Sure, wait a second, just let me take out my phone - I looked at the screen to answer, but I was surprised by what I saw. - Something happens? -asked the man worried. - No, nothing. It's just that time has flown by. "It's 5:38 am," I answered calmly. - Are you sure? -I asked a little strangely- By any chance, haven't you changed the time on your cell phone lately? - Well, I changed time zones a while ago - the man smiled victoriously - But my phone is activated via satellite - I showed him my cell phone - See? Here it says my current location, date and time - he noted that what was said was true. "It's true, your phone with satellite technology wins," he said resigned. "Although the time explains the layer of snow on my car," he said, rubbing his hands vigorously to warm up, while pointing with a slight movement of his head at a modest red car. "No." It's my business, but what are you doing here alone at this hour? Trying to get a cold?
