(First book)

Mekyla (also known as Kay) was already shifting as a baby. Due to this strange accuracy, she was abandoned. Even the orphanages didn't want to keep her. Nobody knew how she could and where she came from. Surviving at a young age. She doesn't care what others think of her, even the werewolf community doesn't bother her. She smells like a normal wolf to them, so they don't bother with her when she travels in their territories. Unfortunately, the changing world forces her to adapt. With werewolves controlling the wildlife in their territories, normal wolves move away to get food elsewhere. Kay is not sure what she needs to do. What will happen to her in this big world?

A New Beginning.
The snow is falling slower this morning. The birds aren't chirping as they usually do either. This is a first for Kay to experience this in this area of the woods she has been living in the past few months. Her white ears picked up the weirdness going on. She can feel something powerful in this territory. She knows she has been living in werewolf woods, but this feeling is different. She follows the feeling, taking a route she often follows to a vast meadow. Her white mane gently moved with her graceful movements. If you didn't know, you would definitely think she was a normal wolf. Strange how the werewolves have never chased her away because of her size. She is not the size of a normal female wolf. She moves like one. The iron smell of blood invades her nose with every step she takes. She can tell it's two of them. Two werewolves. One clearly stronger than she ever felt or smelled before. Curious about what to find ahead, she moves closer and quicker than she originally wanted to. Reaching the meadow, the smell is much stronger. The scent of each wolf mixing with the already spilled blood made her senses more alert and, for some strange reason, also really relaxed. This has never happened before. The scene she is seeing should make her scared, but it doesn't. She is more wolf than human. She can even sleep as a wolf, even get injured as a wolf, and stay in the wolf form. It's her normal. Drex makes sure the alpha pup is still breathing. The pup has already reverted to his human form. Covered in his own blood. Drex must acknowledge that the pup gave him a go for his money. Drex underestimated him. The pup may have been a big shot with a lot of talks, but he did the walk a little. The scent of rain before it falls mixed with earth catches his nose. The smell of a normal wolf, but the scent is stronger. A normal wolf’s scent shouldn’t make him excited. His eyes scanned the tree line. Finally, his eyes fall on the owner of the scent he is smelling. He knows wild wolves will come and investigate the scene of a battle. He must say the wolf is beautiful. He is not surprised to see a big white wolf in this area of the land. He has heard stories that a big white wolf is roaming these lands which he was sent to make his own. "Alpha Drex, shall I take the young master?" the voice of a beta breaks through his gaze. Drex's eyes and focus move to the current beta of this pack. The pack he was sent to take over. Their previous alpha had gone rogue due to him losing his mate to a hunter attack. Hunters usually leave packs alone. Why this one got attacked by hunters will take time to discover the reason. This pack has been following the law that the hunters have set flawlessly. Drex takes a step away from the pup, only to be distracted by the betas gasp. "He's here," he hears the beta whisper in shock. Drex looks at the white wolf again, a bit surprised it came so close. Wild wolves don’t dare to come up to them. Smelling the pup and blood around him. Clearly not bothered by the big black wolf standing almost on top of the pup. Little does Drex know that the white wolf is enjoying his company a bit too much for her own understanding. The blanket that falls over the pup startles Kay a bit. But that's all. She doesn't move away or look scared. Curiosity in her eyes. With her this close, Drex can see her eyes more clearly. Her eyes are different colors. The right eye is a light blue, and the other one a golden orange color. Being as white as she is with these eyes is extremely rare, even among werewolves. To find a wild wolf looking like this, are even more so. Drex takes his eyes away from Kay for just a moment, and his senses suddenly overpower him within the next moment. He can feel something is near him, but he does not feel threatened by it. In fact, he feels alive and excited. Gasps from the elders and other pack members that have witnessed the fight escape from their mouths. Kay is now sniffing the new alpha. They have tried to get close to this wild wolf for months. And now this beauty is so close to their alpha. Even the growl escaped the alpha's mouth. She doesn't even flinch. A blanket falls over Drex and he shifts back to his human form. Kay backed up, giving him his space and just looking at him. Her eyes scanned him. "Is it because I am new to these woods?" Drex had to ask. Kay tilted her head with cuteness. Some members 'aw' at this. The smell of cooked meat catches Drex and Kay off guard. Both stare at the one holding the meat. "Do you want some?" the kid asks, looking at Kay. Kay sniffs the air but doesn't take the step closer to the boy. She knows better than to step closer. This was not her first time dealing with a pack of werewolves. She's just curious about this new alpha. There is something different about him. And he makes her feel different, too. "I hope this time we get to catch it," the boy sounds full of hope. "No, let it be," a growl coming from the alpha. "A white wolf gives power to the pack who has it," an elder adds confusion in his voice towards the new Alpha who seems to not understand. The alpha aura suddenly appeared. The dominant fear radiating from the alpha makes every werewolf submit, exposing their necks. "NO, WE SHALL NOT TOUCH THIS WOLF," his growl echoed through the meadow. The pack is shocked because of the sheer power in this Alpha. "DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR?" he asks, still angry. Everyone is trying to nod. "I CAN'T HEAR YOU," the growl echoed again. "YES ALPHA!" Everyone answers in unison. "If you want the blessing of the white wolf, you'll need to earn it. Don’t know where in your education that information has gone missing," he adds with a softer voice. The members felt the alpha releasing them. Kay was not affected by this. "The wolf didn't even flinch at the alpha?" The boy with the food remarks. Drex looks at Kay again. She is still just staring at him for having no care in the world. He can feel she is not bothered by rank. He can see the curiosity in those eyes, he can see the soul, too. "You can follow if you want to. They won't touch or hurt you," he invites Kay before he turns back in the direction of the packhouse. The rest of the pack followed him immediately. Some are checking if Kay will follow before they follow suit for their brethren. She just stands there, looking at them. Like it always does. She does not trust easily.
