Mika and her father spent their lives moving from place to place and never staying long enough in one place to make friends with the neighbors. For Mika that was her life and she never questioned it until everything changed. Suddenly she is being thrust into the world of werewolves, vampires and magic.

She is a werewolf, at least that is what everyone is telling her. Now she just needs to figure out what is going on because so much does not make sense to her. Especially the hot guy who she can't stop thinking about nor can she escape him. He is her self-dense teacher and aside from her being his student he has secrets that are stopping her from kissing him like she really wants to.

Mika feels like the weight of the world has been placed on her shoulders, and maybe it has been. Especially when the queen of pure evil, meaning the vampires, is after her and is willing to kill whoever stands in her way of getting to Mika.

Prologue
Killian’s POV The baby in my arms stopped crying once I finally got a hang on how to rock her to sleep. She must have been the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. I just had no idea how she ended up abandoned in the middle of nowhere.  Who would abandon such a precious child? One moment, I was enjoying the peaceful hike when I saw this little bundle of swath wrapped up in the middle of the woods crying out. She stole my heart when I laid eyes on her and I knew right then and there that I had to protect her.  As I hiked back I realized it was getting cold and the baby might not be able to handle the cold just yet. I didn’t have much on me, because I was just going to shift once I reached the top and stay up the mountain for a while.  It was getting really cold now, there was a cold front coming in and I was doing my best to keep the baby girl warm but if I didn’t find us a place to camp out for a while then she might freeze to death. From what I can tell she is barely a day old.  I couldn’t let anything happen to her.  I was starting to lose hope, when I heard the sound of Jazz music playing somewhere. I followed the sound and when I saw lights I knew that things were looking up. The baby girl with the violet eyes will be safe.  I got to the house and swept my dark hair to the side. It was hanging in front of my eyes and was beginning to irritate me.  A plump old woman, with wisps of silvery hair  ran out of the house when she saw me and ushered me inside.  “What are you doing out in the cold, and with a baby?” she scolded me more than asked and I felt bad even though the child was not mine. “Never mind, go sit in front of the fire while I make you something to eat.” After the old woman fed me and made sure I and the baby were warm, I knew it was time to give her some answers, answers that I myself lacked. She looked at me expectantly waiting for me to talk. I really did not know what to say in this situation. That and it somehow bothered me that this house just seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, I wonder how this old woman was able to survive out here like this. I saw no vehicle outside, so when does she ever leave this area? The old woman looked like she gave up on expecting me to talk first,  she just smiled at the baby that slept peacefully.  “What is your daughter’s name?” The old woman asked with such adoration I was slightly taken back by her question.  I didn’t know the girl’s name but I knew she needed one so I said the first name that popped into my head. “Mika, her name is Mika.”
