There was a long pause at the other end of the receiver.

"Did you mark her? Did you accept her?"

Evangeline Cortez is a girl, well obviously, but most importantly, she's a girl who asks for nothing more than to just belong. To not be treated like the freak she knows she is. Arriving at Chambers High School, she hoped to achieve the one aspect she struggled her whole life with... making friends.

But any and all hope is diminished in the presence of Keenan Hallins, the unspoken lord of not only a meager high school, but of the entire town of Chambers. Keenan Hallins, who not only declared her a social piranha, but goes out of his way to make sure she knows it too.

But there's something off and sinister about the town of Chambers. Something Evangeline can't quite put her finger on...
