Alpha Lucky's Hunted Mate

CHAPTER ONE Gracie POV Running, running, running, it’s as though I’ve been running for days! I am being hunted by my pack. And that, of a foreign mob of wolves, that I accidentally ran onto their territory. They want to claim me even without the fated mate pull, and I want to save myself for the one that the moon goddess made for me. It started raining, and it helps to mask my scent. I fear my community of wolves and the stranger pack. And also, of losing my choice in Mate for my Alpha. I keep reminding myself that my name is Gracie, and I just turned 18, and I’m a virgin who reserves myself for my One True Mate. My wolf’s name is Evie, and she helps me escape, but somehow we got lost, and we don’t know what territory we’re in anymore. We’re exhausted and need some sleep. Evie guides us into caves, and they’re dark and frightening. So I roll around in the mud to hide my scent and hope I can stay hidden for a while. I keep in the shape of a wolf to remain warm, and it’s easier if they attack us to defend myself. I awoke, trying to understand what had awakened me. I’m listening for any sound or sniffing for any intruders in the cavern. I hear in the distance the sound of wolves calling one another. They are downwind from me, so I cannot catch their scent. It means I have to run if it’s my Pack, they’ll bring me back to the Alpha. And he wants to take me because I’m powerful. I am great at fighting, and I’m the daughter of a Beta. He believes that if he mates with me, our pups will be the best Alphas. I take off following the stream, and I have no choice but to head upwind, but hopefully, the water will mask my scent. With the mud still on my back and head and the water under me, I am safe. Until all of a sudden, I hear new wolves in front of me and on my left. I make a sharp right turn, and I am met with the choice of being caught or scaling a mountain and entering more caves. It’s definitely not a difficult choice, so it’s up I go. I hope to be able to use the caverns for traveling if they’re connected. The wolves who were before me distanced themselves from me by the sound of their howls. I’m going to take a chance and look outside and see if I can spot what pack it is. Yes, I can. From this high, I can see that the Pack is leaving the zone, that it is my pact members. I do not know the Pack that is heading my way from the left. But they smell like the Pack that I went into their territory the first time, and they were not friendly and tried to take me as a prisoner, and one said that if the Alpha did not claim me, he would. Alpha Lucky POV Alpha Lucky, we have an intruder that crossed our border an hour ago, but we lost its scent in the rain. Mind-linked my Beta, Andy. Alpha Lucky asks his Beta, Andy, where was the last known scent? Beta, Andy answers, near the caves on the northern tip of our territory. Alpha Lucky asks, is the scent male or female? Beta Jake replies the scent is female, Alpha. Sir, we just had two more breaches, and they are each a large hunting party. They are hunting someone or something on our land. Yelled, Beta, Andy. Beta, Andy hears Alpha Lucky dispatch all the warriors on duty to hunt the larger parties. Then, Alpha Lucky says to his Beta, let us get these large hunting parties, then we will focus on the female. I will meet you in the first group. I run outside, and I remove my clothes and transform into my wolf. I dash rapidly towards the first group of warriors. And I jump into the battle, ripping the throat of the first wolf who came to me and dug my claws into the chest of the next warrior, sending blood and fur flying.  While a wolf clings to my leg, I descend and grab the warrior by the neck and throw him into a tree, and you can hear the bones shatter. On and on, I am decimating the wolves that do not belong to my Pack. Leaving only one alive for me to interrogate. I mind-link my Beta, Andy, and tell him to take him to the dungeon and attach the silver chains to his ankles and wrists. As my Beta handles this task, I’m heading towards the other group of intruders. I run, and when I hear the sound of the fighting, I rush and begin to dismantle these wolves who dare to come to my lands without permission. The battle didn’t last as long as the last one. And again, I’m saving a wolf to figure out why they’re starting a war.  I instruct the warriors to take the prisoner back to the dungeon, and I decide I will take a look for the lone female. I head to the mountain range and sniff the air, and I can detect a hint of cinnamon and lilies. I have never felt more drawn to a certain scent before, and I think could it be my Mate? I will not know until I see her eyes and touch her skin or if my wolf yells Mate when he sees her. My wolf Ace is pacing from the aroma, and that could be a good sign, but I do not want to get my hopes up. I must find her, but first, I need to see the prisoners and get them talking. I go back to the Pack House and go straight to the dungeon and see that our in-house interrogator already at work on the first guy. So, far he is not talking, but he will; they always do.
