Allen is the alpha of one of the strongest packs in North America. His pack supports the royal pack, they are hunters and trackers for the king. Their skill is unmatched by any other pack.

Iyani is a princess. Her grandfather is the werewolf king in Africa. She has trained her whole life to be fierce and merciless. Her father and granjdfather have taught her how to fight and hold on to her title.

When the two meet there are fireworks, not necessarily to good kind.

Coming to North America
“I am so glad your grandfather allowed us to come to North America with him. I have always wanted to travel somewhere other than the Islands.” Breona, my beta, and best friend says while excitedly taking in the scenery. “I’m glad father allowed both of us to leave together. You know he usually wants one of us to stay in the pack while the other travels. We both needed this experience.” I said to her, “I’m so excited that we get to mingle with other packs and possibly build new alliances. My grandfather and the North American King have been friends since they were pups, so their relationship is solid. I need more alliances for my pack and to strengthen current relationships for when I become queen.” “So, tell me again, Iyani, why are you wearing that cape over your signature leather?” Breona asks. “It’s simple. I don’t want to be recognized initially. I want the opportunity to be around regular wolves, talk, and have a good time without them immediately knowing my rank and status. I also want to see how the wolves interact with each other. I want to know that the wolves are treated fairly before I connect with the leaders. You know I will never align with leaders who treat their pack like servants or slaves. I will also not align with packs who treat females like second-class wolves.” I say. My grandfather looks at me and smiles. “Granddaughter, I have taught you well. You always want to send scouts ahead and do a little recon yourself when you can. Since you have not traveled with me as much out of the country, the wolves in North America will not easily recognize you when you are not with me or if you are not dressed traditionally. While I agree with what you want to do. I do have one stipulation,” my grandfather says, looking at me and Breona. “What is it grandfather and I will let you know if I will comply,” I say with a smirk. Grandfather likes when I get cheeky. Well, sometimes, but looking at his face, this is not one of those times. “Sorry, Yani, this is non-negotiable. The elite guards will surround you and Breona at all times.” “but grandfather” I start” “Let me finish, granddaughter. The guard will be your elite guard. You know you trained them to be silent and deadly. Their traditional uniforms will also be covered. They will look like regular wolves enjoying the festivities like everyone else. “ “Ok grandfather. How many of my guards did you bring and how did you get them here without me knowing?” I ask. “Well, my dear granddaughter, I am the king.” My grandfather says with a smile. “They came on a separate plane and were waiting for us at the hotel. As for how many, all of them.” “So, I have 300 warriors here to watch me? Why so many guards, grandfather?” I know now there is something more going down than just the yearly meeting of the kings and alphas. My grandfather is cautious, but not overly so. He already has his elite guard traveling with him, so for him to add my guard and all of them, he most suspects trouble. “I didn’t want to alarm you, but there has been some unrest in the North American Kingdom. There have also been threats against the royal family. Nothing has been directed to other kings or their families, but you know I always like to be prepared. If they come looking for war, we will be ready. Your father and the rest of your pack warriors are on standby.” “Why did you wait till now to tell me?” “Because your father and I did not want you to spend this trip looking for trouble. I want you to have a good time, possibly find your mate and leave the worrying to me.” “Ok, grandfather. I will try not to worry, but if trouble finds me, I will more than deal with it. As for finding my mate, that’s not on my list of things to do. “ “I wouldn’t expect anything more from my one and only granddaughter,” Grandfather says while patting me on the back.  Breona just watches the exchange between us. She is a master strategist, so I know she started planning as soon as my grandfather said my entire guard unit was here. Although Breona is my beta, she is a general in her own right. My grandfather also knows that Breona is on the job now. I can tell that he is confident in her ability to keep me safe and plan for every possible scenario. Soon enough, we reach the hotel.   “Grandfather, Breona, and I are going to freshen up, then walk around the village for a bit.” “Ok, don’t stay out too late. I will be meeting King Jesse for drinks in a little. Maybe we can all get something to eat at the market later.” My grandfather says as we exit the vehicle. My grandfather has pretty much taken over the whole hotel. Everyone staying here is from our kingdom. Mostly our guards and warriors.  Breona and I go to our room and freshen up. My captain of the guard will also share our suite later. For now, she will be with the guard. I decided to wear my black leather halter top with black leather straight pants. Most people think leather is restrictive, but this is a special leather made by my pack. It is infused with magic. It molds to me and moves as I move. It also protects me from different weapons. It is bulletproof, and the average wolf would not be able to stab me or stick a needle into my skin while I’m wearing it. I know this sounds like a little overkill, but when you are part of the royal family, you have to be prepared for any and every kind of attack. Our family has been in power since the beginning of the kingdom. We did not stay in power by being complacent. We are always ready. Breona and I cover our warrior clothes with a long duster camouflaged as a plain, long dress. We can hide our weapons in this cover-up and still look normal. Like my grandfather said, we are silent but deadly.  All of my guards will know to be similarly covered up, so no one will suspect who we all are. We are trying to look like normal wolves. Anyone seeing me in my cover-up dress would assume that I am an average unranked wolf. The material looks unremarkable, like something you can get out of any discount store. The good thing about dressing in disguise here is that if I meet my mate here, he will not immediately know that I am the princess. That will give me the opportunity to get to know him without him falling in love with my title, my power, or my wealth. I can see that Breona is almost ready to go. We look like two pretty African female tourists. Exactly the look we are going for. I sent a link to all the guards, letting them know Breona and I will leave in 5 minutes. I don’t have to worry or look for them. They will be in place. Breona and I will just walk and explore the area. “Yani, I spoke with Trimni while you were changing. She sent a few guards ahead of us. They are stationed around every entry point of the market square. I figured that is where you would want to start tonight. I also let her know she will be in our suite with us as usual. She will have her things placed here while we are out.” “Sounds good, Breona. This will give us a chance to interact with everyone and everyone and possibly find some rare, original werewolf art and crafts. I love it,” I say, rubbing my hands together. We have the driver drop us off a short distance away from the market, so we can just walk in. “This place is incredible,” I say to Breona. “It’s like stepping back in time to the middle ages.” The pack village is set up like a historical village that you see in the magazines. The homes look like little gingerbread homes. They are in a variety of pastel colors. The homes are in an asymmetrical circle around the market, which is in the center of all the homes. There are booths, tents, and carts set up around a large stage. I guess this is also where they have open meetings. I am very impressed. I never expected to see anything like this in North America. We continue to walk around and take in the sights and smells. “They have so much and smell the food.” I say excitedly to Breona, “Everything is fresh. I always thought the packs here ate a lot of processed foods. It is nice to know they are sticking to tradition and eating food fresh from the earth or a fresh kill. This makes me feel better about connecting with them already.” Breona just smiles at me. “Seems like we had a lot of preconceived notions about packs on this continent based on the human society news we see back home,” Breona says. Trimni is the head guard. She is always closest to me when on duty. Trimni is one of the deadliest females I know. She only stands 5‘ 6”, but don’t let her size fool you. She is often underestimated, which can cause her opponent their life. There is a reason why she is my head guard and it is not because we grew up together. Right now she is walking within listening distance to us. She looks up and smiles at me as well. I think we were all worried about what we would eat while being here.
