"I-I… I c-couldn't breathe C-Conrad…." I merely whispered. Conrad tightened his grip as his ballistic eyes turned into silver, a sign that I was provoking him and pushing him to his limits when I hadn't done anything yet.

"Prince Conrad! Call me Prince Conrad! Your status is far from mine, so you better address me accordingly, or I'll rip this neck off, human!" he roared. "I, Prince Conrad Silverado of the Daeho Kingdom, reject you, Willow Lockhart, to be my mate. Therefore, I would not like to physically interact with you or see you again. Leave my palace at once before I toss you out the main gate!" — Conrad Silverado

Willow never thought she will come back to the pack where she was raised. After his brother summoned her due to her mother's illness, Willow was forced to come home with her twin pups. Little did she know, she wouldn't able to leave Daeho Kingdom knowing her mate who rejected her claims to be his queen and the father of her children. Chapter 1: Willow, The Unwanted Child
Willow’s Point of View I was beyond happy after recognizing who my mate was. Running through the woods so I could stop at the place I was aiming to land, I couldn't stop smiling knowing it was the Lycan Prince, who happened to be my long-time crush, Prince Conrad Silverado of Daeho Kingdom. Thinking about him made my whole body tremble, and at some point, it sent butterflies to my stomach, but the tense feeling remained inside. I ran from my father's pack for hours, astonished at my progress. Driven by excitement and happiness, the supposed three-hour run became short at two just to relay the message to my supposed mate. People who line up just to have him would hate me once they learn about our mate bond. Conrad frequently avoids me for no concrete reason, despite his sister being my best friend since I was just a little one. He seemed to hate me, ignoring my existence whenever we attended a party, visited their kingdom, or the royal family went to our land. Turning eighteen was the best thing that happened to me. Not having a wolf made my life miserable, but for some reason, a mere piece of hope took me out of the dark at the very moment the moon goddess gave me my other half. I arrived at the palace on time, panting like s**t in front of their main door. Guards opened it up for me after noticing I was the Alpha of Crystal Leav Pack's daughter. They think I might be visiting the Princess' chamber knowing we are close friends, unfortunately, the reason for my appearance here wasn't her. Instead, it was all because of her older brother. Conrad. Just speaking his name already makes me tremble. I couldn't remember how I felt about a cold, stoic, and ballistic person like him. My cheeks were burning red as I walked straight toward the Prince's chamber, and like a foolish weak mutton, I was about to open the door, yet it opened itself. At that moment, I stumbled upon seeing Conrad standing across from me, who was six feet and ten inches tall. "P-Prince C-Conrad… I…” s**t, Willow! Why the f**k are you stuttering? It's not like your first time having a conversation with him! His rigid silver eyes narrowed at my location; I flickered into his stares concerning staring at his amusing physiques. Who wouldn't stutter seeing the Lycan Prince topless, exposing his sizzling hot six-pack abs, the small thin hair in his chest, and the prominent jaw he possesses? Dear goddess, is he my mate, or am I just dreaming? But if that's the case, then I decline to wake up! "This is not Diana's chamber. What are you doing here?" he muttered with his unwelcoming frosty tone. I pursed my lips and jolted at the place I was standing. "I am not here looking for Princess Diana; I am l-looking for you to inform you that we… we a-are mate-" The Prince trailed my sentence off when he forced me by the waist toward his room. He was fast. He shut the door, shitting at me angrily as he pinned me through the wall. His hands were sheathed around my neck, groping me with disgusting eyes and unreasonable actions. Your status is far from mine, so you better address me accordingly, or I'll rip this neck off, human!" I groaned in pain. I bet my face right now turned red with a touch of purple. "B-But we are mates! I can call you however I w-want…." Conrad took his hands away from me as I caught my breath, he almost killed me just by groping my neck, and it was beyond my expectation that he would go far like that. "Who else did you tell? f*****g answer me, mutt!" Conrad roared inside his chamber. Tears streamed down my face. I could not speak, subsequently, as to why he wasn't happy we were mates. What else could I have expected, then? There was a massive gap between Conrad and me, but I expected him to recognize and accept me as his mate. I thought something would change in our relationship, but I was disappointed in myself and just had my hopes high. Fucking fool. Stupid and gibberish, Willow. You're such a dull woman. "None. I didn't tell anyone…" I muttered with my low, baritone, tremending voice. He arched his eyebrows, gawking at me with a fiercer glare. "Are you sure? Dare to lie to me, and I'll f*****g finish you here now. No one will ever cry a damn river if you die. Not even your Alpha father wants you as his daughter!" My heart was utterly ripped off. He was aiming for the right words to describe who I am… Willow is the unwanted child of everyone. I closed my eyes gently, wanting to say more. "We are mates! Why are you doing this to me?" Conrad scoffed; he chuckled sarcastically as if my question was sheer fun. "Do you think I would settle for a wolf-less woman, a disgrace to her family like you? You're not even my type, and I f*****g question why the moon goddess provided me a woman who's…" he then bit his lower lip before looking at me from head to toe with revolt. "Who's what?" I repeated as tears streamed down my cheeks. Instead of finishing what he said, he asserted something different. "Leave. I don't want to see you again!" His words pierced precisely through my heart. It was stinging in pain, hurting me like hell, and burning me alive. The moon goddess is the one who's responsible for finding your soul mate, your other half, and the one who will love you until the day you die. Mating is a sacred ritual upon binding two wolves, and we are honoring it, respecting it… but Conrad seemed not to like the moon goddess' decision. "I, Prince Conrad Silverado of the Daeho Kingdom, reject you, Willow Lockhard, to be my mate. Therefore, I would not like to physically interact with you or see you again. Leave my palace at once before I toss you out the main gate!" He thundered critically while clenching his fist, and his jaw swelling. I have no intentions of backing out. Admiring Conrad from afar was hard, but being rejected by him was the cruelest I have ever felt aside from my father's hate and wrath. I waited for ages for the bond with my mate, and upon knowing I was being rejected, it was unfair and unacceptable in the end. People who can see us might call me names, but what can I do? He can't just reject me! "C-Conrad, please!" I begged, able to kneel before him. He then closed his eyes, grabbed my waist, and put me above his shoulder like a pack of roses before throwing me out his door, which caused a loud bang on the floor. I was out of balance, and my weak body couldn't bear the susceptibility. Conrad shut the door loud, leaving me no choice but to go along with frowning eyes and a heavy heart. What the hell were you thinking, Willow? Of course, a powerful man like him wouldn't want to bond with a reckless and weak she-wolf like you. For him, you're just prey that any predator could grab. I feel pathetic empty-s**t thinking there was a chance he could accept me despite being an outcast and a wolf-less. I walked endlessly along the same path back to our pack. The discomfort in my feet was bearable rather than the pain Conrad caused. He rejected me… he doesn't want me. Crying like a peasant, I went back to our pack with watery eyes and messed up clothes, not to mention I came home almost evening, which became fuel to my father's fire. My father's beta was the first one to call out for me, saying I was summoned by my father right after leaving for the palace. I knew he had something to say but couldn't determine what it was. My father wouldn't let me inside his chamber or any of his properties unless, otherwise, he would need something from me. I went inside his office, and to my surprise, all of us were present. Giovanni and Giuseppe jolted in their seats the moment I came in. Both of my brothers are surprised, ogling at me like a mess. "Willow," my brother Giovanni inquired. "Are you okay? Did you cry? Tell me who was I will—" My father trailed him off. "Silence!" His thunderous voice echoed inside the meeting room. I bit my lower lip and then glanced above. "You have called me, father…." "My coronation would be right at the corner. I want everything to be perfect, and I won't tolerate if one of you violates the rules and makes a mess, especially you, Willow!" my father pointed out his raging voice at me as if I was a mistake. I glanced down and gulped so hard before nodding my head. "I understand, Father. I promise to be on my best behavior. I won't taint your n-name and be a disgrace in o-our family in front of many people." I merely said. Father chewed hard before laughing sarcastically. "Oh, child. You have been a disappointment and shame since you were born human and unable to transform!" "Garret!" My mother stopped my father. "That's enough! Willow's not here to listen and bear your below-the-belt words again!" "Just continue about your coronation, Father. Let's not drift the topic to my sister," my older brother Giuseppe asserted before holding my hand. A slight taint of a smile crept on my lips. I tried not to sniff or cry, and I'm glad I did. "The royal family and other important guests will be coming. I won't tolerate any misbehavior, foolishness, or stupidity. I expect you both, Gio and Giuseppe, to be at my side when the King crowns me." Giovanni spoke. "What about Willow? She is your daughter too." "Oh, son. You shouldn't ask me obvious questions. I abhor that child, and I won't let her destroy the most important event of my life!" I saw how my mother closed her eyes gently as if she was holding herself to having a fight again with my mother when she dismissed me early, leaving the four of them to discuss further with regard to the upcoming coronation. A bitter smile crept on my lips as my taste went sour. The silver lining side of having a wolf. I wouldn't have the chance to get a taste of the luxury and power they hold, not when I have no wolf with me. The pack's people hated me. They just don't want to show it because of my two brothers. Instead of showing their hate, they ignore me and relay their messages through their eyes filled with demise. For them, I am nothing but a mere human, a cursed and unlucky one. I am just fortunate because I have a loving mother and two brothers. Without them, I can't stay in this pack rather than being rogue at an early age. Time flies so fast; the coronation of my father will soon begin. Seeing my father standing on the stage alongside my brother lifted trains of thoughts in my mind. Beside him was his best friend, the Lycan King of Daeho Kingdom. "I now announce to everyone the new Alpha of Crystal Leav Pack, Garret Lockhart!" the Lycan King instated, spicing the terror and sternness in his voice. Nevertheless, everyone watching the ceremony cheered and chanted for the beginning of my father's reign. My parents are now Alpha and Luna. Indeed, I am happy for them, but watching only four people in front scattered a wrecked heart deep inside me. I hoped my father's mind would change and give me a spot on the stage, but I just had my hopes high, knowing he never recognized me as his child and treated me abhorrently. "Willow!" The sudden tone caught my attention. I bumped into Princess Diana! "Princess D-Diana," I spat out, not knowing I was spacing out, and bumped into the Lycan Princess. Princess Diana hugged me. It had been a while since the last time we saw each other, and knowing we grew up together, it was so hard waiting for my dearest friend to come back, knowing she was busy attending the royal academy. "Diana!" a disastrous voice behind me roared. Now, my attention has strayed away from her. My eyes narrowed at the man behind, darting his frigid eyes at my location. Every inch of his cold stares had made an impact, giving me a goosebump all over my body. "P-Prince C-Conrad…" I called his name. But as my eyes cast away at the lady beside him, I was a little taken aback seeing Morgana Reed, an Alpha's daughter, beside him while… holding hands. Morgana Reed's smile expanded. "Hi, Willow! It's nice to see you again. By the way, did Conrad and I look great? We're now official!"
