Luca I wake up from a dreamless night and reach for my phone to check the time. four fifteen, an hour till morning training begins. I didn't feel tired probably because I'd been waking up at this same exact time since I was a teen and first began training to become alpha. Even after I became alpha I couldn't shake the habit. I got up from my comfy bed and headed into the bathroom stripping off my clothes on the way. I quickly took a shower before lazily combing through my messy wet brown hair. Once done I headed downstairs and was immediately greeted by two of the packs omega females, Layla and Gia, I greeted them back giving them a smile and slightly laughing at the way their faces heated up. Dispite my looks I'm not a player. Actually I haven't even had s*x before partially because I wanted to wait for my mate and the other reason is because everyone who likes me expects me to be dominant and rough, that's not me. Yeah I'm a "dominant" alpha in a sense. When it comes to leading a pack you have to be dominant and rough and aggressive that's just how being an alpha works. I look to the stairs when I hear someone coming down. Just as I turn my head my best friend and beta, Tyler reaches the bottom. "Morning Ty." I say looking away from the omegas I had been talking to. "Morning Lu." he said with a yawn "Your up early again?" he questioned through tired, squinted eyes. "Of course." I said back with a chuckle "Can't miss training." "Yes, you can. Your the alpha no ones going to pester you about not going to training" he said taking a sip of the coffee he had just finished making as we walked out the pack house. I threw one final goodbye to the two omegas before focusing my attention on Tyler once outside. "Omarion would" I said referring to my wolf. Tyler tilted his head to the side in a knowing fashion before beginning to laugh. As we walked onto training grounds we were greeted by Kayden, one of our pack trainers. "Hey guys!" he said and we both replied with a unanimous 'hey' back. He chuckled at our accidental unison. "We're sparring today." he said causing Tyler to groan. "Please don't pair me with this guy again." he said pointing his thumb in my direction. I wrapped my arms around his shoulder "Why? You don't want to be with me anymore? Is this what rejection feels like?" I said feigning hurt. "f**k off" He said while shoving my arm off and I busted out in a fit of laughter at his annoyance. This went on for a little while longer while we waited for training to start. Once it was time to start training everyone paired with someone (Tyler still ended up getting paired with me), and then we began. ** I wiped my face with a small towel, we had just finished a two hour training session which was much shorter than usual. I walked up to Tyler who was pouring water into his mouth and onto his face, "Wanna go for a run?" I asked and he perked his head up. He ran his fingers through his wet hair remaining silent for a few seconds as if he was thinking of an answer, "How about a race?" he said with a smirk. "Your on!" I said and before he had any time to prepare I dashed into the woods, running up a small hill before jumping and shifting mid-air and continuing to run, this time in my wolf form. I was just barley reaching the clearing when I started to here the sound of paws. He's gaining on me! I thought to myself as I began to pick up speed. I skidded to a halt as I reached the clearing, successfully winning the race. Tyler came out through the trees seconds later and immediately pounced on me. We playfully snapped and growled at each other before shifting back into our human forms, "I won." I said once I had shifted. "That doesn't count your an alpha so your naturally faster than me and on top of that you had a huge head start." he whined and I laughed at his obvious annoyance at the loss. Once I had calmed down I Looked at Tyler and lightly punched his arm to get his attention, "Wanna rematch?" I said once he had turned to look at me. "Hm?" he hummed questionably. "We have a meeting with drudgery pack in an hour and it takes a good two hours to get there." I replied answering his silent question. He groaned, "We just got here" he complained. "Well when duty calls-" "You answer. I know I know." he said finishing my sentence. I laughed "You know that saying is lame as hell." he said starting to also laugh. "Yeah, I know." I said before shifting 'You ready?' I said through mind link. 'Ready.' he sent back once he had shifted and then we were off. I took the lead the entire time we were on our way back and right before I made it to the pack house I slowed down allowing Tyler to pass me. He immediately shifted and began bragging about how he won, I said nothing about my purposeful lose and just let him believe he won because of his own skill. "Okay, we got to go inside and get dressed remember we have a meeting to attend." I said with a laugh. I handed him a pair of shorts to change into which successfully stopped him from continuing the horrible victory dance he had been doing in his birthday suit. I waited for him to put on his shorts before we both went inside. We sperated once upstairs and went to each of our own rooms. I picked out casual clothes, just a long sleeved black turtle neck with some blue jean pants. We don't have to dress professionally unlike meetings with other packs. We've known and have been allied with the drudgery pack for centuries, they were like family everyone from their pack knew the people from our pack. Well, almost everyone. A couple years back they said they added a new pack member and in just a few months that new member was promoted to beta, second in command. He must be a pretty great guy to achieve something like that in just a few months, especially since beta's and gamma's are the alpha's most trusted pack members, beside their mates. Once I was done putting on my clothes I went into the restroom to fix my hair. I washed the sweat out my hair, dried it and at the last second decided not to brush it and just to let my natural curls form. I came out at the same time as Tyler, he was wearing a dark green shirt with black jeaned shorts. His dirty blonde hair was brushed back and I could tell that he had just shaved making his jawline more defined. It was obvious that Tyler was an attractive person. His body was muscular and his features everywhere from his green eyes to his slim lips and his broad nose was all attractive. I would be lying if I said I didn't like him at one point but we already tried that out and it just didn't work. "Hey sexy." I said causing him to laugh. "Do I really look that good?" he asked in a cocky tone. I smirked, "No." "Oh shut up." he said walking off while I laughed before jogging to catch up with him. We both got in the car and headed on our way to drudgery pack territory.
