Scented Blood

No one wants to be hunted. Their whole lives. Haunted. Their whole lives. And I was born into a fleeting lost bloodline of vampires and unending bloodlust. They say we used to rule the world, our kind superior than any monsters lurkin' day and night. But now, I don't understand why am I running bare, stripped and parched. They say there are many of us. I bet they've hid themselves well or, they may have been captured and experimented, killed by the scheming humans. or, they may have been cold, lifeless, their bones mixed with the grains of the sand. No matter what, I am never ending up on either ground. The damn world shall see to that.  Savant He felt nothing but utter disdain As he tried hard to look at anything inside the laboratory room Her weak body lying on the cold bed Her nakedness welcoming his undivided attention He was alone with just her  Her presence filled the room  As he tried hard to gaze at anything But her. He failed. He felt utter disdain When he realized all he wanted to do Was stare at her, forever. It tortured him to look at her but he still wanted his eyes to meet her closed eyes He wanted to touch her He wanted to hug her But most of all, He just wanted her.
