    I opened the door and crept into the room. I could see the bump under the blankets. He was sleeping. The rhythm of his breathing was familiar and made me feel calmer. I hadn’t really realized how upset I still was.

    I couldn’t make myself get any closer to him. If he woke up, he’d talk. I’d fail to convince him. He’d take back his acceptance of my offer. I left and headed for the training field.

    We started training with a ten mile run. It wasn’t much for us, but we had to run it at our top speed with no resting. Everyone was encouraged to push and beat their previous time. When we returned to the field, we did some calisthenics stuff, muscle building exercises, repetitive motion training, and sparring.
