When Rock reached out to me and apologized, I was shocked. I didn’t realize what he did called for an apology. I took the chance to apologize for doubting him and my sister. It made me feel a lot better and I’d be able to tell Beth I apologized.

She was mad at me for doubting Carmen after she’d worked so hard for the last three years and surpassed our expectations. Trent, Ben, and I were embarrassed that we’d underestimated my sister, but at least they were doing better at not doing that than I was.

Rock told me where his office was and invited me to come by to see my sister. Some part of me thought he was rubbing in the fact that she was doing better at the job than I thought she would, but I was almost certain that was a feeling and not a fact.
