19: Shattered

Cern waited for what felt like an eternity for his Goddess to return to him. Days, then weeks, then more than a month passed until he realized: She would not be coming back for him.

His heart shattered into a million pieces, and the peace and love he had felt morphed into something dark and sinister. Her Mark pulsed on his arm, a hateful reminder of the betrayal.
