“Momma! Mommy!” The cries rang out to Emma as they entered the mansion. Sol, Antares and Altair came running as quickly as they could down the hall towards her, followed by a sedate, if grim, Nadia. In a tumble of voices, they told her what happened and her head snapped to the gardens.
“Stay here children! Momma's gonna check on Papa Bel and Papa Luci.” She called, bolting for the door to the gardens. Something about Luci had scared Skye while they were playing? That didn't sound good. She raced through the door to find Bel and Luci sitting on a bench, Skye cuddled on their laps, fast asleep. Her head was on Luci's lap, Luci had his eyes closed and was absently running a hand through Skye's wild curls. Emma almost collapsed when she saw they were all three ok. Holding a hand to her heart, she paused, leaning against the house, breathing hard. Luci's nose suddenly went into the air.
“Emma!” He called softly, loathe to wake the child on his lap. Emma pushed off from the wall and walked toward them, there was a sad look on Lucian's usually happy face.
“What's happened?” Emma asked immediately, her own heartrate beginning to climb again.
“Beloved, calm down. Lucian's second Form began to manifest again, and it scared the children.” Bel said soothingly, reaching out a hand to pull her down on the bench beside him. There was more to it than that, she could tell, based on Lucian's pained look alone. She wondered if she should tell them about her own slip in Form, but decided against it. It would involve some creative storytelling to weave Cern out of it.
“Emma, my love.” Bel gently turned her face to look at him, brushing his lips across her own. “Please don't trouble yourself overmuch about it. Everything's ok.” Bel looked like he knew she also wasn't saying everything.
“Momma?” Marian called from the door.
“It's ok Marian.” Emma called after a quick questioning look at Bel. Marian raced outside ad took to the skies, only to dive-bomb Luci with a hug and a kiss.
“Kisses make everything better.” She informed Luci, with all the certainty of a child. Lucian cracked a grin then, and pulled her around to sit beside him.
“Your kisses always heal little one.” He tickled her and she giggled.
“I'm going to be a healer like momma! Guess what I learned-” As Marian prattled on, Emma looked at Bel for a better explanation. He shook his head slightly.
“How did it go, darling? Any progress with your latest pet project?” Bel ran his nose along her neck and she felt her skin begin to heat, desire digging its fingers into her from just that simple act. She sighed.
“I'm not sure.” Emma responded truthfully. “It's not just this man's body that was broken-that was easy enough to repair, but also his mind. And I don't know if I'm capable of that. My instincts tell me I am, but..” Bel's lips traveled across her jaw and nipped her earlobe.
“Believe your instincts, beloved. You had a spirit of empathy and compassion before you became a goddess. And a fertility goddess nurtures, not just the body, but the soul. You'll figure it out. Just remember..” He gripped her chin again and looked seriously into her eyes. “...don't bite off more than you can chew. If you need help-.”
“Tell you, yes I know. No more resurrection stunts or huge power drains for me thank you.” Emma held up a hand like she was swearing an oath and Bel nodded.
“Good. As I said, that kind of thing is about Balance. Life force must be taken for life force restored. Yes, your power is reliant on Belief that you can do something-but know your limits as well. Raising the dead is a serious use of power that even I hesitate to perform.” Bel murmured against her neck. Emma felt a little burst of pride at that. Yes, she had been drained, but she had found the task rather easy, had done it mostly on instinct. Did that mean that as her skills advanced, this would be something she could do with ease?
“Your pulse is racing Emma, but I get the impression it is more from my words than my actions.” Bel whispered next to her ear, gently biting the lobe. Damn-how much of her thoughts could he still pick up? Bel chuckled softly. “It would be much more fun if those thoughts were focused on something a little more... pleasurable.” Bel murmured, kissing her lips.
“You have our daughter sleeping on your lap.” Emma replied. “But honestly, if you two think you can get her to her bed without waking her, I could use your company.” Bel promptly vanished with Skye to reappear in front of Emma and Lucian, grinning slightly.
“Incubus, remember? Dream magic, etc.” Bel smirked, then gripped Emma and Lucian by the wrists, only to make them reappear in Emma's bedroom, Luci and Emma still seated, but now on the bed.
“Now, where were we?” Bel asked lasciviously.
“Bel, your Incubus is showing.” Emma giggled. Bel growled lightly, but Luci still looked distracted, and it took Emma straddling his lap to drag him out of his thoughts.
“Do you not want to do this, my moon?” Emma asked him gently, running a gentle hand down the side of his face to cup Luci's cheek. He flinched at first, remembering the description Bel gave him of his new wolf Form, but then couldn't help but lean into Emma's comforting touch. He could feel Emma's love, comfort, strength and trust radiating from the small palm on the side of his face. It reminded him that he'd do anything for the beauty perched on his thighs, be anything, and the tiny broken part of him that was afraid of what he was becoming started to heal. He whined softly, turning his face to kiss her palm. Oh, he wanted this very much, as Emma could probably tell by now, with the evidence straining against her between her own thighs. She moaned and he knew then she had noticed. He turned with her in his arms swiftly, dropping her gently on the bed.
“I do very much want this Mistress.” He growled. Bel climbed onto the bed opposite him, and together they undressed Emma before undressing themselves.

Bel had his hand splayed across the swell of Emma's stomach when she woke up.
“What time is it?” She asked with a yawn.
“Still very early. Do you still intend to take Marian and Sol with you when you visit your sister and your niece today?” Bel asked. He rubbed her naked skin gently. She could guess what he was doing, he was observing the life growing within her. The quickening, they called it, when a fetus began to move. She had noticed the small movements herself very recently. They probably would have been imperceptible to a human, but the life within her called to her. She felt like she could wrap herself around the little sparks and protect them.
“They are more than one.” Bel said excitedly, answering her thoughts as if confirming his own.
“Damnit Bel, I've been trying not to look. I wanted it to be a surprise.” Emma pouted. Bel kissed her abdomen with relish.
“I am so pleased.” He murmured calmly. Then got up from the bed as she rolled over to get up herself, but as soon as her back was turned she heard Bel yelling down the hall.
“Lucian! There's more than one!” Bel called. She heard Luci scrambling his way towards her room, gasping excitedly. Emma rolled her eyes.

Sol's little face was screwed into a super serious expression as they stepped onto the human plane. He had to concentrate to make his human Form stick. Emma ruffled his golden hair.
“You're doing a beautiful job Sol, but you can let go of some of that tight control today. It's just going to be your Aunty and Innate cousin here. They already know you're special.” Sol sighed.
“Thank you momma.” He ran off after Marian, sparks and trails of sunlight streaking behind him as he shouted and giggled with joy while they tried to catch fireflies. “The pups would have loved this.” Emma sighed.
“That's why I brought 'em.” Lucian's happy voice suddenly resonated from behind her. She turned with a thrilled cry and held out her arms for the triplets, who gave her quick hugs before going bug chasing themselves. Emma gripped Luci in an even tighter hug that ended in a passionate kiss.
“I though you had something else you needed to do?” Emma asked, kissing him again.
“This was more important.” Luci responded, then called over her shoulder “Antares, put that down, we don't eat random stuff we find in the grass!” He looked at her with his eyes twinkling. “Pups.” He shrugged, then took off to chase Antares down, wrestling some foreign object out of his hands that Antares was loathe to give up. Emma laughed helplessly watching the scene, reminded once again that at least three of her children were part wolf spirit, and definitely acted like it.
“Hello SweetPea.” Emma said to her niece, who at that moment was trying to sneak up behind her.
“Dang! How do you do that!” Phoebie cried. Emma smirked.
“Hmm, well first of all, you're not as quiet as you think.” Emma grinned, turning to look at her. Phoebie's strawberry blond hair was tied into a messy ponytail today and she looked offended at Emma's comment which made Emma laugh.
“Besides that, I have a secret weapon.” Emma tapped her head. “I 'inherited' a gift from Bel, so to speak. If you're thinking pretty hard about me, I can usually pick it up.”
“So if I wanna sneak up on you, I gotta not think about doin' it?” Phoebie asked. Emma laughed again.
“Yeah, something like that.” Emma replied
