THEY HARRASSED MY FIANCEE

I was punching the punching bag so hard that I felt my knuckles started hurting inside the gloves. I kissed William…. Damn it…. I kissed the person I hated the most just because I needed to save my best friend. Right now, I was in the new studio apartment that Mr Nash bought for me before my discharge from the hospital.

I sat down on the ground while wrapping my hands around my knees. Mr Nash was my father’s best friend. He and my father were business partners and also they two were involved in their other businesses. Mr Nash took over their other business as my uncle took over the white part of our business. He then adopted me only to get a grip on the property that my parents left for me.

I was of 14 years when Mr Nash approached me and he started giving me training in self-defence and other arts. I was already broken by my so-called family to an extent where no one could mend me. Since that day, I was working under him and he also took care of me whenever I was bitten by my step mom and sister. I tolerated them only because I didn’t want to lose my only family left.

Suddenly I heard the ring of my phone and looked at the table. I took my phone from the table and sighed. “Hey, girl… how are you?” I asked her in a soft and chirpy voice after picking up the phone. “Why did you do that, Van? Why did you put yourself in danger?” she was crying and I hate her tears. “I love you, Pam… you are the only person that supported me without any other motives. I will do anything in order to keep you safe”, I said in a determined tone.

She didn’t say a word but cried so hard. “I already have taken care of everything, Pam…. Tesla can do nothing against you now”, I tried to reassure her and she cried hard. “For keeping me safe, you … you portrayed yourself as a w***e? Do you really think that it will not haunt me forever, huh?” she yelled at me and I lifted my head up to stop my tears.

“Don’t think too much… you are my sister, Pam and I will not let anyone hurt you … even if I have to sleep with that… that douchebag … I will”, I said in a disgusting tone and she laughed this time. “I heard that you kissed him in front of Tesla, huh? Tell me how his lips felt?” suddenly her tone changed in a curious tone making me flinch at my position.

“Geez, Pam…. Don’t remind me …. That was my first kiss that I lost on that loser”, I cringed and shuddered my shoulders while thinking about that kiss. She laughed hard and I was sure that she was rolling on the bed now. “Laugh at me … as much as you want”, I rolled my eyes and stood up from my spot. I took the water bottle from the table and drink water.

“Tell me… how he tasted… when I kissed him … all I tasted was alcohol… tell me what his original taste”, she again asked me a grossed question and I almost spit the water in my mouth. “Stop this, Pam…. That was a nightmare for me and … you are making fun out of that?” I again questioned her in disbelief and she laughed again.

“Okay.. okay.. but.. you need to know that you two are a perfect couple.. one is hot and the other is superrrrrr hot”, she again teased me and I grunted in frustration. “Pamela… I am going to kill you”, I yelled and she laughed harder. “No… sweetheart… you love me so much.. next time… give him your best superhot kiss that made me fell hard for you”, I was so pissed now that I really wanted to smack her head right now.

“I am hanging up now… going to take shower”, I said and was about to hang up when she shouted, “Is William also coming for having his shower?” I grunted and hung up immediately. She was intolerable sometimes. I was about to put my phone on the table again when it started ringing again. I looked at the caller ID and my heart skipped a beat.

“We need to talk”, I said as soon as I picked up the call. Yeah… we needed to talk about what I did there. I needed to explain to him. He was might be a player still I kissed him without his consent. I was guilty here. “Yeah… I also thought so… where we can meet?” he stuttered and I smiled. I then told him that I would meet him in the restaurant. I hung up and texted him the address. I stood up at my place for a while thinking about what to tell him. I decided to tell him the truth. It would be better because, in this way, I also saved him from going at the bad side of Winter’s.

I took a quick shower and then put on a deep brown plain full sleeves top with blue jeans. I looked at myself in the mirror. It was not like I needed to be ready before meeting him. I was good in my usual safe… still.. I felt to have a look on me. It was a little cold outside, so I decided to get my leather jacket on it. I took my wallet, my phone and then came out of the room. I locked the apartment and started walking towards the restaurant. It was four or five blocks away from the apartment and I decided to have a walk instead of taking any vehicle.

I reached the restaurant on time and found William already sitting inside. “Hey”, I greeted him while sitting down on a chair in front of him across the table. “Hey”, he greeted me back and sounded nervous. There was an awkward silence between us and I looked everywhere but at him while biting my lower lips.

“Uhhh… would you like to eat something… actually… ummm… I am hungry”, he broke the silence and I was glad. “Yeah… it’s almost dinner time”, I agreed with him and felt my heartbeat started increasing. Unconsciously my eyes fell on his lips and I felt something struck inside my throat.

He asked the server to bring the menus and I asked him to order for me too as I was not interested in having anything special right now. After the server left us alone, I started the conversation. “Uhh… about… what happened earlier… ummmm… I am sorry for what I did… I should ask you first…but… th… that was only to confirm her that something happened between us …. I… I am sorry that I kissed you without asking you first”, I said everything that I wanted to say and blew a breath of relief from my mouth.

“No… I mean yeah… that … that was unexpected and… I.. …I understand… why .. you did that… I … it’s fine”, he stuttered hard looking so nervous that made me smile. “Geez, William…. Why are you blushing… it’s not like you were kissed the first time”, I joked while laughing a little at his blushing face.

“It’s not anyone else, Vanessa… it was you who kissed me and that's a big thing for me”, he said in a soft tone but firm on his words this time. I lowered my eyes and took my lower lips in between my teeth. “Don’t…. don’t do this”, he suddenly blurted out and I looked up while raising my brows questioningly. “Don’t bite your lips… at least not now”, his eyes were lingering on my lips and I didn’t understand how to react now.

“I… I know that … you have a very bad image of mine and I … I am fine with that because that’s what I am … but… I never forced myself on a girl and I can assure you that I did nothing with Pamela to hurt her”, he explained himself and I looked at him with a small smile. “I know the truth of that night, William and trust me… you will not like to know what I know. You are also a victim here and I have no hard feelings for you about that night. You are Mr Nash’s son and all I did was only to save his reputation and my friend”, I explained my reason to him and he nodded.

The server soon served our food and we both started eating in silence. “She is the girl in the video, right? My God… she is hot”, both I and William looked behind me and saw two boys looking at me while looking at something on the phone. “Hey you two… do you want a beating, huh? Get lost from here”, William yelled at them and they both smirked making me raised my brows.

I stood up from my seat throwing the chair back and marched towards them. Before they could say anything, I snatched his phone from his hands and narrowed my eyes on what I saw. “Who the hell did this?” William almost roared watching a video standing behind me.

I didn’t say a word but one of those boys opened his mouth. “Chill, dude… she is looking so delicious in the video… I am sure that she is good at what she is doing… so babe… how much for one night”. Before I could hit him, his jaw connected with a fist and he almost flew back falling on the ground. I looked back and saw William fuming in anger. He leapt over him but I immediately wrapped my hands around his torso after throwing the phone on the ground.

“Hey man….what’s wrong with you”, another boy yelled while running towards the fallen boy and I yelled at William, “Let them go… it’s not their fault”. I tried to push William back and all the customers sitting around us stood up from their seats. “I will sue the person who uploaded this video…. And… you two… you just what I will do with you”, William roared again and gave a warning look to those two boys.

“William… let’s go… let’s go from here”, I requested William without removing my grip on him. “No… we are not going anywhere… I am calling the police and they..(he pointed towards the boys)… they will tell the police from where they have downloaded this video. I am not going to leave this matter”, William tried to remove my grip from him but I guessed I was stronger than him.

“Please… let’s go”, I requested him again while locking my gaze with him. He was breathing heavily. Some of the servers and the manager of the restaurant also came near us. “What happened, Sir?” the managed asked William but he didn’t say a thing and was still looking at me. I pleaded with him with my eyes. “They harassed my fiancée and I want you to take action against them”, William finally spoke making me gasped in shock this time.
