"I really don't understand, Demitry. We have plenty of time before my accident when you and Rehaana could tell me about her illness", I said in a low but sad tone. It was really hard to make her understand our reason. It seemed that she didn't want to understand why we didn't tell her anything and not even planning to tell her. "Mariam.. this is not like this. You know that she loves you like your sister. She doesn't want to harm you more when you are already dealing with your injuries. I know that her condition is critical but I am trying hard to get a donor for her", I took her hand in mine but she immediately snatched her hand again. She was now infuriating me. Rehaana was better now and was resting in her room. Mrs Lockhart decided to stay with her in case she needed something. I didn't know what to say to both the mother and daughter duo. They were so caring and the worry hadn't left their faces since Rehaana fainted yesterday.
"Okay... I got this. She loves me so much that she hid her illness from me because she thought that it would harm in .... in... in any other way but you", she paused and looked at me accusingly. "You don't love me and for you .... I am nothing but a deal. You could tell me easily. You could make a deal with me", she said in a bit raised voice due to her anger. "You are not a deal for me", I gritted my teeth while looking at her angrily now. "Then what I am, Dem. Tell me what I am to you", she yelled this time while looking at me with a pierced look. I only looked at her because I couldn't tell what she was to me. I hadn't had the courage to tell her that she is precious to me that I wanted to cherish her all my life. "I am nothing to you and she is your sister. My bone marrow can save her life still you didn't tell me", she was now trembling with anger. "I know that she is my sister. I know this very well and you don't need to remind me", I yelled at her this time.
"Then what was the problem here? Why did you take so much risk on her life when I can save her life", she yelled back immediately. "Because she doesn't want to use you. She worries for you", I yelled back while going a bit closer to her. "I am talking about you here, not her. You love her. You could tell me before. Why did you keep your mouth shut", she once again yelled back. This was our first fight and I really didn't like it. "Bone Marrow Transplant is not an easy operation even for the donor, Mariam. You have to understand this. You can lose your ability to walk or even stand if something goes wrong during the operation", I was now so close to her that I could feel the trembling of her body. "This is only a chance here. It may be possible that I survive the operation. We can take that risk", she had balled up her fists as if she wanted to punch me hard. She loved Rehaana so much and her critical condition had broken her heart. I could understand her anger but I didn't understand why couldn't she understand my concern here.
"You have answered your question on your own, Mariam. It may be possible.. may be.... No doctor can guarantee the success of this operation and I can't take that risk on your life", I tried to take her hand in my hand again and she yanked again. Now I had enough of this. "Why can't", she yelled again at the top of her lungs this time. "Because I love you and don't want to lose you", I immediately yelled back and hovered over her. "Wh..at?" she shut her mouth when I put my finger on her lips. She was lying under me and was looking at me with wide eyes in shock. I didn't think again and crashed my lips on hers in a fierce kiss. She tried to stop me by pushing me with her single hand but I immediately pinned that hand away from her on the bed. I sucked her lips so roughly as if I wanted to punish her for not understanding my concern. I didn't want to confess my feelings to her but she made me. She always did whatever she wanted to do and I always gave in according to her wish.
