    It was midnight and the Arkadían-Nicolet proposal was nearly done. Although Nevaeh and Levi were in their separate bedrooms at Claremont House and Ofa was a half an hour away at Shere Wood with her new pack, they all were still together via the video chat group and shared doc as they worked on the merger. It was good to have Ofa back on the team. Although her fifteen minute side-tracking, quirky, meaningless conversations drew the meeting out longer than it should have been, just her being there, not dead, made Nevaeh’s world feel right again.

    “Did you guys know I am an instant step-mom? Gamma Rhys came with major strings attached,” Ofa blurted out randomly while they worked on spreadsheets. “Seriously, I have two kids now. Two boys.” Her eyes widened.
