I smiled as I sat down on my bed, my body reappearing at the same instant. I tossed the staff from one hand to the other feeling more confident than I had since Axureon brought me to the Dragon Valley.
I was able to make myself invisible. With every successful time I managed it, my confidence grew. As I tested my skill, I journeyed farther past any of the trails I had been on.
Knowing the trails would come in handy when I escaped.
All the while I roamed, I looked for Rhys, but I had yet to find him. The anxiety of not knowing where he was gnawed at me. Finding him was going to be the hardest part of the escape, but I wouldn't leave without him.
