Violet went back to her room escorted by Jack. She didn't say another word after he advised her to think about what she wanted.
Her head was hurting again from thinking too much.
What would her life turn out to be now? She didn't have much faith that Arden would be successful in rescuing her.
But until that happened, she couldn't go on with her mission. Even if she was able to kill Jack, she was trapped inside the mansion, with all eyes upon her.
She would never escape.
So they would be both dead in the end.
Now she was starting to think about Arden's plans. She didn't give much thought about his motives when he summoned her to do it.
