The sun was bright as Andrea blinked her eyes, wondering what time it was. Straining to see the clock by the side of the hospital bed, she discovered it was past 11:00 in the morning. She must’ve fallen back to sleep. Earlier that morning, she’d insisted Case leave and go back to Florida so he didn’t miss anything else for Daytona. He was reluctant to go, but the fact that Andrea had both of her bodyguards waiting outside of her door made him feel better.
Case had spent the whole night in her room, never leaving her side. Despite the uncomfortable chair and the fact that he had work to do today, he wouldn’t budge, not even to sleep on a cot or in a more comfortable chair. Thinking about how sweet he was brought tears to her eyes. She really had gotten so lucky with him.
