Game Over

“So, I just need to gather enough coin in order to get out of this place?”

Although I know about it, I am still confused about the value of the coin. Seeing the top leaderboard only have 64 coins right now, and I need 100 coins to get out, it seemed that gathering the coin wasn’t so easy. Just when I was lost in my thoughts, someone suddenly called out to me.

“Young man, It seemed that you’re new here. Care for playing a round of card game with me?”

It was a friendly-looking old man. To be honest, I am tempted to play with him. Firstly, he seemed to be friendly, and secondly, maybe I could learn about this place from him. However, before I managed to say anything, someone pulled me by my collar and brought me away.

She is clearly the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. Not to mention her chest was undulating up and down as she tried to catch her breath too. She looked so enchanting and charming that I lost my words.

“Don’t you know that I just saved your life back there? Do you even know who that old man is? His name is Dominic, but people call him the innocent killer. Yes, he is specialized in killing newcomers like you that don’t know anything about this place.”

“What?”

My brain lagged and processed things at a slower pace. Either it was because the information was too shocking to me, or it was because I am still mesmerized by this woman in front of me. The woman suddenly reached out her hands, and I realized that this was a gesture as she wanted to help me stand up. Naturally, I wanted to take her hands and stand back up, but before I managed to grab her hand, she swatted my hands as if she had just swatted a fly.

“Do you think that I was trying to help you stand up? Hahaha. How foolish. I’m asking you to pay up. What? Do you think that I am helping you for free? Since I just saved your life, I believe that I deserve to be paid. Since I am feeling generous, I will just take one coin from you. Come, pay up.”

Earlier, I was at a loss. However, after that swat, I seemed to have wakened up.

I realized that I could do something like that. After all, the system answered my question about the leaderboard and how to get out of this place.

“System, will I die if I lose all my coins?”

『Once a player loses all of their coins, they are given 24 hours to obtain at least one coin to continue playing. If they fail to do so, they will experience a game over.』

“Game over?”

『Game over is when the player won’t be able to play anymore and entered eternal sleep state.』

“Eternal sleep?”

Hearing the system explanation, I still can’t wrap my head around it.

“How come losing all the coins means death? Won’t we return to the real world?”

However, this time, the system didn’t answer me. Instead, it was answered by the woman beside me.
