Although the building looked to be abandoned, it was still futuristic and gave off a metallic luster despite the lack of lightning around. The woman pressed the number to open the lock, and not long after, the door to the C-2 warehouse was opened.

It was all dark and the only lightning to guide the way was a flashlight that the woman brought out of her pocket. I followed obediently behind her so I wouldn’t get tripped and fall. To be honest, if it was in the real world, I wouldn’t bother to follow her to this place. Firstly, I didn’t know her at all so I didn’t know what would happen to me. Secondly, the world wasn’t a nice place, and I might lose my life. They might take my organs and sell them on the black market.

Since this place is a virtual world, I somehow have lost my sense of fear. That is because even if the woman have a malicious intent towards me, the worst that could happen is that I’m losing all of the coins in my possession.

Indeed, if that happened, I would be in danger of dying if I couldn’t get another coin within 24 hours. However, as far as I’ve been in this world. For the past few hours, I didn’t see anyone panicking on the streets because they had lost all of their coins. Definitely, earning coins and gathering 100 of them to get out of this place wasn’t easy. However, getting one within 24 hours wouldn’t be that hard, right?

Not to mention even if I really die, no one would cry for me except for my stupid little sister. Although I have worked hard for her future, I realized that I couldn’t provide the money needed for her operation. If I died, there is a big chance that she will die, and that is something that I’ve prepared for. At least, I will die first before her, and it means that I’ve at least died trying. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t sign a contract with the WIC and get into this place. In one way or another, she couldn’t even blame me if I died here.

However, it’s all wasn’t set in stone yet. There’s a big chance that I won’t die here. Although I’ve only come into this place recently, there’s one thing that I am sure of. This place is called the World of Game. That is because everything in this place revolved around the game.

After Sylvia left and I was on the journey back, I learned that one of the most common ways to earn coins is by playing cards in the casino game building. The building is just like any regular casino in the outside world, only a bit futuristic in design and furniture. Other than that, the rules are the same. It can be said that in this world, every player is forced to gamble to earn coins.

Because of that, even if this woman in front of me wants to take my coin, it should be through the method that is approved by the system, which is through the game. Earlier, Sylvia could take my coin because she had gambled in a game with me. The gamble is whether I would follow her around while being dragged or I resist her invitation. If I resist, she would lose the game and won’t earn any coin. However, she won, and she got one coin from me.

I know that because I’ve looked into the system logs of what is happening ever since I came to this place as I walked back to my place, and I noticed the missed notification.
