Florence would never know how to explain what came over her to agree with something so absurd, but after she uttered those words, there was no going back. They didn't sign any contract, but her words had to mean something. She wasn't a woman that went back on her promises after she made them.
But after all, Scott had saved her family. She could never turn a blind eye to that. Even if that meant she'd have to marry him and ruin the slight chance they had of being a normal couple someday.
It was hard to imagine what their relationship and their dynamic would be from now on, but she decided to not freak out about it. She'd cross that bridge when she came to it. For now, she had to get used to the idea of becoming the future Mrs. Lee. And that was consuming her completely.
