Shut Up

Daniel woke up from sleep. He felt a little refreshed and the uncomfortable feeling that he had felt last night had now disappeared. Daniel got up and opened the curtains to let the morning sunlight into his room. Daniel really likes warmth over cold which is his world.

"That girl ..." Daniel was surprised to see the figure of Jane who was outstretched in front of his room.

Jane stretched out her arms with her head up. His face was slightly thin in the morning sun. No smile appeared on Jane's lips. Her long hair fell down to her waist. The pose looks like he wants to let go of a very heavy burden. But in Daniel Jane's eyes were so charming that it made Daniel stare at her without blinking.

"Sir, breakfast is ready," said Alex.

Daniel immediately closed the curtains. He was afraid that Alex would notice that he was staring at Jane. He didn't want Alex to think he liked Jane again. One thing is for sure, Daniel shouldn't see Jane too often. He had to keep his distance and build a situation where neither he nor Jane had the opportunity or reason to like each other.

Daniel came out and sat at the dining table. That's when Jane came.

"So you're my brother?" asked Jane, looking at him probing.

Daniel chose to remain silent and did not respond to Jane. There was no point in responding to Jane's words, which were getting longer. If women reply once the next reply will be longer.

"Since when are we brothers? Can a childhood photo be the only reason that we are brothers? I should have asked my lawyer in detail about this. my parents died," said Jane again.

Daniel thought Jane's words were just empty words that had no value. He only focused on food and chewed it even though he wasn't really hungry.

"Miss Jane, please eat breakfast. Later I will explain Mr. Daniel's background to you," said Alex.

Jane snorted in disgust. With an annoyed face Jane ate quietly.

"Later the police will come to you. So, you have to be prepared before they come," said Alex again.

Daniel only glanced at Jane. Jane's neckline and jawbone made Daniel gulp. Daniel immediately finished his meal and left the dining room first.

"Then call all the servants to my room. We have something to talk to them about," said Daniel.

"So it turns out you can talk. I thought you were mute," Jane responded.

Daniel just looked at Jane briefly then chose to leave. Before leaving the room there was the sound of a spoon slamming on the table. Daniel just sighed. Looks like Edward spoiled Jane too much.

"Master, there's a guest looking for you," Leo reported. One of the servants.

Daniel immediately followed him into the living room.

"Long time no see you, Daniel," said Daniel's old acquaintance. One of the best psychiatrists who continues to receive awards in recent times.

"How are you, Ramond. I expected you to come here," said Daniel. His face turned stiff and cold. He asked Leo to serve his guest a drink.

"I'm good. You seem to be getting better yourself."

"As you can see," Daniel replied.

The atmosphere turned colder. Ramond was busy drinking the tea that was given. Meanwhile, Daniel waited quietly.

"How's Jennifer? I thought you'd bring the girl here."

Daniel smiled faintly.

"Of course you'll come. I heard you had dreams of building a psychiatric clinic, but unfortunately not much funding came. How many numbers do you need!?!" asked Daniel matter-of-factly.

"You're very smart indeed. I expected it. Not much. I brought a proposal, this way no one would suspect anything. I'll shut up and keep what happened to myself," Ramond pulled out a proposal and placed it on the table. That's when Alex came.

"Long time no see, Mr. Ramond," said Alex.

"That's right. You're just getting more handsome," replied Ramond.

Alex immediately sat beside Daniel who was busy reading the proposal.

"I admit that the purpose of building this clinic is very noble. And you are also very smart to see where the funding support will come from," said Daniel after reading the entire proposal in a short time.

"Of course. It's for the good of all of us anyway. Not that Mr. Daniel. I think the amount I wrote is very little for you. This will not be a burden to you. You are charitable, I repay your kindness. It's just a reciprocal relationship."

Alex understood the situation. Ramond uses his position and knowledge to make Daniel the main supporter of his clinic.

"Are you sure you need to do this?" Alex whispered. "We can get rid of him."

"Shut up, Alex. That's not our way," said Daniel. He asked Alex to get a pen and a stamp and a check.

Within five minutes Daniel signed, endorsed and wrote down his check with the appropriate numbers and then handed it to Ramond.

"From today we are partners," said Ramond as he accepted the check from Daniel's hand with a cheerful face. "Then I'll take my leave, because I won't be intruding on your time. Thank you."

Daniel just nodded. Meanwhile Alex ushered Ramond off to the front door.

"You should reconsider," Alex said as soon as he returned.

"It's okay. I believe that every goal of Ramond is to help people who are economically disadvantaged. It's just that his way of raising funds is full of manipulation and devious ways. I don't mind being used in this situation at all," said Daniel.

"You sacrificed a lot for Jane. Did you really like her long ago?" asked Alex.

Daniel glanced at Alex. He stomped his feet on the floor. When his feet hit the floor hard, Alex's body bounced against the wall. Realizing his mistake, Alex immediately got up and apologized.

"Please, pardon my impudence." Alex is very sorry. His excessive worry made Alex couldn't help but say what he was thinking.

"I'm doing this to repay Edward's kindness to me. And you already know that!" snapped Daniel.

"I'm sorry, sir," said Alex. He bent his knees in front of Daniel. He hoped Daniel would forgive his impudence.

"Wake up, has Jane eaten and ready?" asked Daniel.

"Yes."

"You are in charge of accompanying the girl. Don't let her talk carelessly and say unnecessary things. The girl is very talkative and annoying. From now on you are fully responsible for taking care of and taking care of Jane's needs."

"How about you?" asked Daniel.

"You can take care of me after taking care of the girl," Daniel replied.

Near the door, Jane listened to everything that was going on with her heart pounding.
