Nathan rubbed Eve's head before going downstairs to get some money at the ATM. He wears a mask so no one can recognize him. He was still worried that people from the laboratory were still after him. After withdrawing the money, Nathan immediately got back into the car and asked Max to take him to a market that sells used electronics. He intends to buy some tools to track his father's cell phone. It doesn't need a new login tool to do that. Used goods can be a cheap solution if only for temporary purposes.

"This is the best place. If we are lucky we can get second hand goods with new quality." Max showed me a slightly dark hallway. From the outside there doesn't seem to be anything there. But when you enter, many people are selling and buyers are passing by.

"Do you have any reliable acquaintances?" asked Nathan.

"Of course. You think the laptop I have is new? I can't afford it."

Max immediately walked over and Nathan followed suit. They enter a house. There are a lot of electronic goods available there. Starting from spare parts to goods that are still intact. By the time Nathan saw all the items, Max was back with the old man beside him.

"What things do you need?" asked the old man without further ado.

Nathan took out his notes. He deliberately wrote down all his needs on paper so that nothing was forgotten. The man looked at the paper Nathan gave him carefully. Then he looked at Nathan.

"You want old stock or the latest and greatest?" asked the man.

"Actually, I like tough stuff. The quality is guaranteed and reliable. It doesn't matter what year it was produced," Nathan said.

"Good. Wait a minute," said the man. Then he entered the house.

"I'm not very tech savvy. But I have a lot of networks of people you might need. So feel free to tell me," Max said.

"Of course." Nathan knew very well that Max had a wider circle of friends than him. Without Max, he didn't know who to contact.

"In this search for your father, shouldn't you call the police?" Max asked.

Nathan, who was busy seeing an eavesdropper, immediately put the object down and looked at Max. "I don't need them. Besides, there's no point in reporting this. They won't believe it, maybe even the head of the lab will cover up this incident and say my father is on duty out of town."

Max didn't know what else to say. He was just worried that Nathan was in a dangerous situation. But he could not force Nathan to follow his will.

"Please take a look at the things I brought," said the old man with some tools that had been brought.

Nathan immediately checked. All the items given were according to Nathan's wishes. In fact, all of these items were beyond Nathan's expectations. All of these items can be said to be very good for the size of used goods.

"How much is the total?" asked Nathan.

The old man said the numbers. Nathan bid below the price.

"You won't find something as good as this anywhere. I'll give you a bonus bulletproof bag as well as this. The old man showed me a rather large watch with an odd shape.

"I have a lot of watches at home," Nathan said.

"Make no mistake. Take a good look at this watch."

Nathan immediately took it. After a closer look, it turns out that the watch is a multipurpose watch. It seems that the previous owner of the watch was an adventurer, as the watch had a rather complete and versatile toolkit.

"Okay. I agree," Nathan said.

"Good. I know you're very smart. I think this is the right thing for you. This watch belonged to my late brother who died while serving as a state secret agent."

The old man put all these things into the backpack he had promised to give Nathan.

"Don't hesitate to come back," said the man as he handed over the goods and received p*****t. Nathan just nodded and left with Max.

"Where are you going after this?" Max asked.

"Probably looking for an inn. I don't feel comfortable staying at your house," Nathan said.

"I'd be very angry if you did. Stay home. Don't refuse," Max said.

"I don't want you to be in danger because of me," Nathan said.

"Don't talk anymore. Or I'll never help you again," Max threatened.

Nathan was speechless. He can only hope that whatever he encounters in the future is not as dangerous as he thought. So far, William has never disappeared, let alone left Nathan unnoticed. If you have to go or have an interest for a long time, William will tell or invite him to come along. If William disappeared now, for Nathan it was a sign that his father was in danger.

"Okay. Let's go to your house, Eve is happy there anyway. Is that right?" Nathan asked Eve who had been waiting in the car. Nathan purposely told him to wait there so as not to attract the attention of many people. For some people, keeping wild wolves rather than Husky dogs is a hobby for certain people, including high-class people. If Eve was with him everywhere, people would think he was rich and things would get complicated. Nathan was lazy if something happened for such an insignificant reason. Including if Eve went with him earlier, the items he bought could be increased in price just because he saw Eve's whereabouts.

Finally after a few hours they both arrived at Max's house. It's late at night. Surprisingly Max's house lights are on. The house lights should still be off like this afternoon.

"Is anyone coming?" asked Nathan warily.

Max didn't answer. He walked quietly and Nathan followed in his footsteps. When the door was slowly opened, Eve suddenly entered without being prevented. Nathan panicked, for fear that his beloved wolf would be hurt by criminals or caught by them.

Max and Nathan immediately enter the house to look for Eve. Eve's voice was heard in the kitchen. The two of them immediately headed to the place.

"Luci!?!" Max was surprised to see a woman setting food on the table.

"Since when do you keep wolves? You know it's dangerous, moreover, a license to keep a wolf is also expensive," replied the woman.

"That's my friend's pet, Nathan," Max said.

"Hi," said Nathan.

Luci stared at Nathan for a long time.

"Hi," Funny replied nervously. "Clean yourself up, dinner is ready," said Luci again busy setting the table.

Nathan immediately nodded and rushed into Max's room. He couldn't stand being in such an awkward atmosphere. Nathan decided to take a shower immediately. Meanwhile Max approaches Luci.

"Why did you come?" Max asked suspiciously.

"So what? I'm your sister. I'm also worried about your situation," said Luci.

"It's not like you. You must be up to something. Don't bother my friend. He's too handsome and nice for you," Max said as he walked away.

Luci just stared at Max's departure. Then after feeling safe, she contacted someone. Luci thought she was alone. She forgot that there was still a wolf watching her every move.
