After breakfast, Seth helped Briana with the dishes again. The mood was light as they bantered back and forth like they had known each other for years. After the last dish was put away, Seth went outside to tend the garden, while Briana remained inside to tend to indoor chores. The mist had subsided when he walked into the garden and the sun was trying to peek through the clouds. It had rained just enough to give everything a good saturation, which glistened off the deep green foliage and dewed up on the purple, pink, and blue wildflowers. Right away, Reese pointed him toward the corn that needed weeding. It was growing rapidly, almost past his knees. Seth thought they must have planted the garden weeks ago for it to have grown so much. Despite himself, Seth liked it in the garden. It w
