"That's enough sparing for today," Colin announced, as the last rays of sunlight vanished from the sky. But there was enough light spilling from the cottage windows for them to see to gather the equipment. Then a bright light poured from the front door of the cottage as Briana stepped out. "Father, can we have a fire tonight?" Briana asked, holding a candle resting in an old-fashioned metallic holder. Seth smiled to himself, realizing that it wouldn't be considered old fashioned here. He also noticed that Briana had changed into a long dress, fitted at her thin waist and flowing to the ground. Her braid was over one shoulder and her eyes flickered along with the candle light she held. Seth pretended not to notice how beautiful she was in the firelight. "We can manage that," Colin smile
