Chapter 35 : Edgar's Secret

 The few day has passed, the battle that occurred in the lake area has left a very deep scar, especially for Edgar who has lost most of his subordinates. After receiving a crushing defeat from Kevin and his friends, Edgar's days are never the same again. Every day he is always overshadowed by fear and anxiety, especially because at this time a lot of part of his business has been destroyed, now his subordinates are only a few, and even now the identity of his face is known to Kevin and his friends, so the opportunity for Edgar to be able to hide his figure from enemy, those monster hunter became so thin.

 Therefore, wherever Edgar are located, he was always feel nervous and uneasy. His space seemed limited, and he couldn't freely do whatever he wanted, like before when the Holy Grail group's triumph was still at its peak.

 Since the Holy Grail group has lost 3 of it generals, now everything is unstable and destroyed, like a building whose pillars have been cut down, so the building collapses and fell down. now all that's left is the building owner who feels confused and doesn't know what to do.

 Edgar could only lament the end of the Holy Grail group, the group that he had been painstakingly raising all this time, with the business that was initially running smoothly, has now been ruin by Kevin and his friends. So that now the only business left for Edgar is the 'Wing religion' cult which has a secret society and a large number of followers, therefore for now Edgar can still have a lot of income as well as a sufficient supply of food for himself and some of his remaining subordinates, namely the ferocious Gargoyles who were still loyal to him.

 One sunny day, in a building that was an old abandoned church, a Wing Religion gathering was being held there. Edgar is currently sitting backstage alone. While on the stage, the prayer reading ceremony was taking place and was led by one of Edgar's men. Everyone who attended the event, seemed to be praying with wisdom, even most of them were crying and pondering, because they were so absorbed in the prayer reading that was being held in the room.

 Edgar, who was alone, was so nervous that the cold sweat ran all over his face, so several times he had to wipe his face and try to calm down again, because soon he would have to appear and give speech to all his followers.

 Edgar tried to get rid of the excessive anxiety that had been haunting him for several days. Even though every time Kevin and his friends always had the images of them slaughtering all of his troops, Edgar still tried hard to erase all of it from his memory. Because the most important thing for him right now is, he must be able to get up to start developing his group again, then return to become the ruler of the underworld who is most feared in Briggs City.

 When Edgar was ready to give a speech, he immediately got up from his chair to walk onto the stage. But suddenly he felt shocked when he heard the sound of screams and gunshots that occurred in the church room.

 The sound of screams and pounding could be heard out of the building. It caused an atmosphere full of panic as the situation became chaotic and everyone rushed out to save themselves, while in backstage, the chaotic voice made Edgar's fear stir again. But since he had nowhere else to run, Edgar tried to dare himself to get out of the backstage, and he would find out what had really happened to his panicked-sounding followers.

 When Edgar came out and walked onto the stage, he could only surrender, while feeling dumbfounded. Because it turns out, there are Oliver, Kevin, and Christa who are already standing in the middle of the church room. With several dead gargoyles and chairs falling apart, the three of them seem to be waiting for Edgar to come out and turn himself in. Meanwhile, Edgar's men were seen to have died to ashes, while the panicked human followers had fled in droves to save themselves, because they were all afraid by the presence of Kevin and his friends who suddenly appeared. While shot and slaughtered all of Edgar's men there.

 So shortly thereafter, the former Boss Holy grail finally stood on the stage surrounded by Oliver, Kevin, and Christa. Now it's all over for Edgar, he doesn't know where else to go and what to do, all he can do now is just surrender and wait for his death to come. He felt sure that he would soon be finished off by one of the monster-slayer trio, be it by Kevin, Oliver, or by Christa. At this point, Edgar could only bow, and lamenting his fate.

 Then Kevin started talking to him. "You don't feel tough now huh?"

 “Do I look like have other options? … If you guys want to kill me, do it fast! ” Said Edgar.

 “I have to admit, your power is very great, according to the information we have, you are able to cure various illness suffered by your followers, and you can even instill disease into a person's body ... Then why don't you use your power in the right way? Without having to hurt and harm others.” Said Kevin.

 "What? On the right way? What's the benefits for me if I use my power in the right way huh? ” Ask Edgar.

 "Your thinking is terrible." Said Oliver.

 "Then, is it because of that I deserve to be killed by you?" Edgar asked again.

 "Of course. You have harmed a lot of other people. "

 "Hmm, there are many humans out there who are even more evil than monsters like me, so why don't you kill them?"

 Then Kevin and his friends were silent after listening to Edgar's words. So Edgar continued his words.

 “Is it because monsters like us will immediately vanish when killed? Then it won't be a problem if you kill us? But that cannot justify all the actions you have done, because even though we are born as Gargoyles who have a high lust for murder, we can try hard to reduce that lust and coexist with humans ... "

 "You don't know what things I've been through Oliver, so don't you try lecturing me." Said Edgar.

 "It is enough! I will kill him. " Christa said, pointing her sword at Edgar's neck.

 "Wait a minute." Said Kevin.

 Then Kevin walked over to Edgar to ask the question he had been keeping. But when Kevin did that, his friends warned him not to get too close to Edgar, because with just one touch, Edgar could make his opponent's body get a deadly disease.

 But Kevin was not afraid, and after he got very close to Edgar, he immediately asked questions.

 Kevin said, "I personally have often faced Gargoyle monsters, on average they do have the ability to change into human form ... But I've never faced Gargoyles that have a power mixture of wolf bodies, have energy field power, or has the power to manipulate genetic cells like you ... Where do you actually come from? And how can you have such power? ” Asked Kevin curiously.

 "Well, if I told you, would you promise not to kill me?" Edgar asked back.

 "Kevin, don't make a deal with him." Christa warned.

 Then Kevin nodded at Edgar, it indicated that Kevin agreed to Edgar's terms, so Edgar was happy and he immediately answered.

 "Hahhahahh ... Very good. I will answer your question."

 "Hurry up and talk!" Kevin said.

 “The secret behind the power I have ... 7 Years ago, I, Roschi and Siege were just ordinary Gargoyle monsters, who roamed the streets looking for their prey every night, and we were very poor and weak ...  "His name is Rudolf." Edgar replied.
