Chapter 2 : Father's legacy

 Kevin has awaken the power inside him, but suddenly he was knocked out by the mouthless monster, who have the phsycokinesis power to blown the enemy away, so then Kevin was laying unconscious on his burning house, without hope to survive.

  But, long story short, Kevin started to wake up from his fainting state, then when he woke up, he was surprised because now he was in a fairly narrow room, and the room was only lit by a light bulb that was almost dim.

 In that room too, There is a ladder that can be climbed to get to the top floor, there is an old cupboard that is dusty and covered with cobwebs, there is even a vault attached to the wall, and one more thing is the sofa where Kevin is lying down right now, he was completely awake from a fainting state. The place where Kevin currently is, feels like a long abandoned bunker.

 Kevin was surprised, because the last thing he knew is, Kevin was dealing with a monster that killed his mother, in his burning house, then he was defeated and finally passed out, but now he even wakes up in a bunker that feels foreign to him.

 After looking around the various corners of the bunker, Kevin approached a vault that was there, he continued to watch it very closely, then he found scratches on the wall, which form the number '1145'.

So without thinking, Kevin immediately used the four digit numbers to open the vault door in front of him. Then it turned out that he succeeded, the vault door had opened, so now the contents inside could be seen and could be taken by Kevin.

 Inside the vault, there was a pistol that slightly bigger than another pistol, it was black with a green stripe on it. There were several cartridges ready to be loaded into the gun, and there was also a tube that looked like a transparent thermos.

 Plus, there’s also a piece of paper that was worn and almost destroyed, it seemed that objects had been stored in there for a long time. The contents of the writing on the paper is.

 "Kevin, warm greetings from me, your father ... I hope you can find the whereabouts of this weapon before the day of destruction arrives, so that with this weapon you can protect your mother and continue to survive. Forgive me for not being able to be by your side when you really need me. Because lately there are a lot of things to do with my job, even now i had a feeling of something bad will happen to me soon, that's why i wrote this letter. If something really bad happens to me, then i wants you to be able to use this weapon to face all kinds of dangers. Even though I don't know clearly what will happen in the future, I hope that you and your mother will always be safe. "

 Kevin shed tears while reading the letter, he felt sad because in fact, his mother had died. And currently he is holding a letter from his late father who died long ago.

 Then Kevin looked at the date written on the letter, which when the letter was written. Although it’s a little vague, the writing on the paper shows the date of 'July 24, 2005'. Kevin was a little shocked when he learned about the date, because it was the day when his father was still alive, or rather, several days before the incident of his father died and missing the body. It meant that there was indeed something odd about his father's death.

 After that, Kevin also read the message written on the back of the paper. The message contains information about the procedure for using a gun, how to refill bullets, and how to extract the horns of the monsters using the extracting tube which is now in Kevin's hand. In addition, the message also states that only Kevin can use the gun, because the gun's handle is equipped with technology that can only recognize Kevin's DNA, so that no one else can use it.

 After getting all the objects, Kevin decided to leave the room where he was currently. He immediately walked near the stairs and then climbed the stairs and came out on the top surface. Then how shocked Kevin was, when he found that the bunker room was actually under his house. So so all this time Kevin's father had a secret room located under his house, but Kevin and his mother never knew about the existence of that room.

 Then Kevin, who was still filled with confusion, continued to pay attention to the situation around him, he lamented the condition of his house which was destroyed by the fire yesterday, while the whereabouts of his mother's body were not there. Even though Kevin tried to find it by checking every piece of debris that was there, he still couldn't find his mother's body.

 Therefore, various kinds of speculation began to arise in his head. Namely, had the mouthless monster preyed on its mother? Or, Has anyone come to help Kevin and bury Kevin's mother? Who that good person is? Is he a friend of his father? Or maybe the figure of the father himself who is still alive? So that Kevin could suddenly wake up in the bunker room under his house. Questions like that were filling Kevin's head, so he felt dizzy and had a headache.

 Then where did the person who helped him go now? That's what Kevin should find out next. In the midst of the chaos that occurred as a result of the monster apocalypse, Kevin, who had lost many things, had to try to survive and at the same time, he must find answers about everything that had happened to him, as well as regarding the power he currently had. 

There are many mysteries that Kevin must solve, and questions that are still unanswered, so that since then Kevin's journey has begun, in a world that has been ruled by monsters. Day after day changed, month after month changed, until finally it was 3 years since the day of the monster apocalypse happened, now Kevin is 28 years old, and he spends his daily time just for hunting monsters, with no other purpose.

 During that time, Kevin had tried to search for information in various places, but due to the chaotic conditions of the world, with many buildings that had been destroyed, and most of humanity having perished, it was very difficult for Kevin to be able to find information. Even it's hard to just looking for someone to talk. In an era when humanity is almost extinct, it seems like it's too late for Kevin to be able to fix things, so now all he can do is keep driving and survive.

 However, an event that will change the fate of humanity finally arrives, when there is a meeting between Kevin and a mysterious woman. When Kevin was driving on his motorbike while observing the shattered city around him, Kevin was suddenly surprised by the presence of a woman who jumped from above, then landed and sat right in the back seat of his motorcycle.

 Kevin, who was shocked by that incident, immediately asked the woman who was sitting behind him. 

 "Hey miss ?! Who are you?"

 “Don't ask questions! Keep driving. " The woman said as she shot a bow towards the back to shoot the monkey monsters that were chasing her.

.Then Kevin immediately stepped on the gas, he spurred his motorbike to high speed, while occasionally glancing backwards to notice the woman who was being carried by him, as well as the figures of monsters chasing from behind.

 The woman has a proportionate body posture and looks tough, her hair is long black and tied up, she has a bow, various arrows, several knives, and a stick as her weapon. With the abilities she has, the woman is able to shoot at any target precisely so that her pursuers are overwhelmed by the arrows of her.

 "Wow, you are amazing." Kevin said as he continued driving.

 However, the woman did not respond to Kevin's words because she was seriously facing the enemies, until finally the chase was over, because the monsters that had been left behind, were now very far from the pace of Kevin's motorcycle. Then after they arrived at a place where conditions were safer, they both decided to take a short break there, while talking and introducing themselves.

 Kevin and that woman sat opposite to each other in a place that used to be a cafe. A few moments later, Kevin started the conversation, "So, what's your name Miss?"

 "My name is Christa."

 "Oh, nice to meet you, my name is ...."

 "Kevin."

 "Hah? How do you know my name ?? " Kevin was surprised because the woman suddenly said his name.

 "Of course I know, because all this time I've been looking for you everywhere." Christa answered.

"Really?"

“I searching for you on your old residence, and all over your hometown. During these 3 years where have you been going? ” asked Christa.

 "I went looking for information to a various places."

 "You Dumbass!!"

 "Duuuuuaaaakkkkk !!!" Christa hit Kevin's face with a stick until Kevin fell to his knees.

Then while on his knees, Kevin said, "Wh-why did you hit me ?!"

 “This whole time you don't have to look for information anywhere, I'm the one who will bring you information, but because your presence keeps getting away and it's very difficult to find, then I had to spend 3 years in order to meet you. Dumbass!!"

 “E- uhh !! … O-okay then, sorry. ”

 So it seems that all this time, it is not information that is difficult for Kevin to find, but Kevin who is difficult for information to find.

 Then Christa began explaining the information she had. “This monster apocalypse catastrophe, did not happen accidentally. However, there are people who had plan it and become the mastermind behind all of it. "

 "W- what?" Now a lot of questions begin to pop up on Kevin's mind.
