Chapter nine : The qualification of doom

 In the qualifying round of the Togu City Tournament, Dragon, Tatsui, and Gill along with 100 other participants will face two official Knights from the Kingdom of Nexus, named Arci and Holdi. They are two Knights who joined the group of 3 Nexus storm, one of its members named Rizu could not be there, because currently in the Palace to accompany Princess Reina practice archery.

 So at this time, Arci and Holdi will be testing all tournament participants at the Amritzer Stadium. Arci who has a weapon in the form of two yellow swords and emits electrical energy, while Holdi has a weapon in the form of a large ax, which fits with his tall and muscular posture. They both walked proudly and casually headed in front of the participants of the Tournament.

 Some participants were frightened and trembled when they saw the two of them, while Dragon, Gill, Tatsui, and certain people, looked ordinary when they saw the two Knights. But it is different with the audience in the stands. They all cheered to welcome the presence of Arci and Holdi, the strongest and most famous Knights of the Nexus Kingdom.

 Then the Host who was sitting near the Queen of Broadcasters, immediately began to explain about the qualification round that must be passed by the Tournament participants. Namely, they are all not allowed to move far from where they are standing right now, except only to cover their faces or hold hands, for anyone who faints or is knocked out of the ring, will be deemed to be dropped.

 This round will end if the remaining participants are only 16 people left, for later they will be paired with each other in the battle round later. Therefore, Dragon and the other participants immediately prepare themselves to defend against any attack that will be launched by Arci and Holdi.

 "Alright, because the audience here already looks impatient, so let's just start! Mr. Holdi, please. " The host invited Holdi to begin his attack.

 Then Holdi said. "I will do it, but before that, I want to thank you for this very lively welcome, I feel so ..."

 "Too long. Let's just do it quickly, Log. " Arci said to Holdi.

 "You're just annoying! Can't Let me finish my word? You little branch. " Said Holdi.

 "What are you saying?"

 "Grrrt ...!" they both growled towards each other.

 "Why did the two of them fight?" Said one participant who felt odd seeing this.

 Arci and Holdi often quarrel wherever they are, while Rizu is a mediator for them, but because currently Rizu is not there, then their fight became difficult to stop, then after hearing the two of them are quite tough debate, the host began to talk again to them.

 "Eumm -... Mr. Holdi, Mr. Arci, please don't fight now, we are still at the beginning of the event."

 After that they stopped the debate, and began to refocus to test the tournament participants. Holdi told Arci to back off and stay away from him if he didn't want to get hurt, then with a face that looked indifferent, Arci immediately moved away from Holdi. He retreated back to the stands.

 "Hmmm ... Alright, I'll just start. All of you get ready! " Said Holdi to all participants, while preparing to swing the ax.

 With anxious feelings, the participants prepared to survive the attack that will be launched by Holdi, then without warning, Holdi immediately swung his ax so strongly that it produced a gust of wind that was so large and strong, to the point that most of the existing Tournament participants in front of him was immediately blown away and thrown far out of the Arena.

 Some participants were blown to the stands, but their body was stopped by a transparent shield wall that covered the entire stands, so it felt like crashing into a thick wall hard enough. The protective walls were created and controlled by the shield wizards who were there.

Meanwhile, Dragon, Gill, Tatsui and some of the remaining participants, still remained where they were standing, each of them did not look shaken in the slightest, while continuing to protect their faces with their respective hands from the wildly hurricane.

 "The most important thing to overcome such an attack is sturdy horses." Said Master Big hit to his students.

 Then suddenly the person who was not far beside them answered. "Hah? This attack is nothing. " Said the woman who had fought with Dragon and Tatsui when they had just arrived in Togu City, a fugitive hunter named Zhoei, and her brother, Kalpen.

 "Interesting weapon." Gill said as he continued to pay attention to the ax that had just been swung by Holdi.

 Dragon and Tatsui were still standing, with facial expressions like people struggling to ward off the storm. At present, the number of Tournament participants who are still standing in their respective places, is still around 41 people, including Dragon, Tatsui, and Gill.

 "Waah ... Not unexpectedly, apparently there are still quite a lot of participants who have survived this far. These are the ones who really aren't fragile people! ” Said the host. Then he continued, "But will they still be able to withstand the next attack from Mr. Arci? We will soon see it!"

 "Hmm ... This tournament is not intended for weak people, every four years the qualification round is always changing, and is getting heavier. Those who want to register should already know about this." Azter said to his brother named Ajora.

 "Tatsui, are you alright?" Asked Dragon.

 "I am fine." Tatsui answered.

 "You have fought your best to be able to withstand that attack, don't let your guard down, it's not over yet. Continue to survive and fight! " Dragon encouraged Tatsui.

 "Oi two of you, get ready, the next attack will come soon." Gill said warning the two of them who were talking. Gill's position is in front of Tatsui and Dragon.

 "Now it's time for Mr. Arci's turn to launch an attack!" The host shouted.

 "Okay, it's my turn now." Said Arci.

 "Don't be too hard on them, we should leave only 16 people." Send Holdi to Arci.

 "Noisy! I know it!! Who threw most of them out of the Arena huh? That's you!" Arci said, then Holdi just kept quiet and smiled a little after listening to the words of Arci.

 "Rolling Thunder !!!" Arci shouted as he stab his two swords to the ground in front of him. Then the two swords emitted enormous electric energy, which spread rapidly towards the Tournament participants.

 All participants were shocked when such a large electric current spread towards them, then immediately one by one the participants were affected by the electric attack, which spread throughout their bodies. Because of the high voltage that electrocuted their bodies, it was very painful, so that some of them eventually collapsed and laying on the ground.

 While some certain people still continue to survive the electric attack, such as Gill, Master Big hit, Azter, Ajora, Glauss, and others. But Tatsui seemed not strong enough to take the attack anymore, it seemed that even Tatsui's legs were no longer able to continue standing, then Dragon held Tatsui's hand tightly, so that Tatsui could continue to stand up to the condition, even though Dragon also actually felt he could not stand it anymore . But they both try to strengthen each other, and try to make more determination so that they can survive, because they both have goals to be achieved.

 Moments later Holdi began counting the number of participants who were still standing, and who had fallen to the ground. He continued to reduce his count, when someone collapsed.

 "19, 18, 17, and 16. Hey hey ... that's enough, the numbers are right." Said Holdi to Arci.

 Then Arci immediately stopped his attack, so that immediately, the electric current that shocked the participants disappeared immediately. After that they all seemed relieved when the electric attack launched by Arci had ended.

 "This is nothing, right Rhogi?" Master Big hit asked his student, who was next to him. But the student did not answer at all, because his whole body still felt stiff after being shocked by a large enough electric current.

 While Zhoei looks limp and collapsed into the arms of his brother, named Kalpen. "Are you okay? Sister Hang on. " Said Kalpen to his beloved sister.

 "That damn official knight, just watch out. I will definitely reply later. " Azter said in a weak voice.

 Meanwhile, Dragon and Tatsui were still standing while holding hands. Then suddenly the two of them collapsed backwards together until they were unconscious. But because they have survived until the electricity attacks were stopped, that means they have made it to the next round.

 "Yes! Here are the 16 participants of our Tournament who will advance to the next round. They will start the match immediately, after a predetermined break. So the audience is expected to be patient. " Said the emcee.

 Then a few moments later the medical wizards, whose numbers were very large, immediately came over to the participants who had been injured, or exhausted. They will all be taken to the treatment room to be given treatment, healing potions, and stamina potions, so that later their condition will return to normal.

Gill approached Dragon and Tatsui who were lying on the Arena floor, before the medical wizards arrived at their place. Gill looked at them both as he said.

 "I don't doubt your abilities at all. You two are indeed great because you have managed to survive this far, but the opponents that we will face later, Their abilities are far above what we can imagine. I wonder what will happen next? I don't know, let's fight together. " Gill said as he looked over at the other participants who had survived there. Namely including Glauss, Bernie Zar, Azter, Ajora, Master Big Hit, Zhoei, Kalpen, and others.

 Meanwhile, Arci and Holdi are seen walking away from the arena, it looks like they both want to return to the Kingdom of Nexus after finishing their assignments there. Then the host asked them.

 "Wait a minute, Mr. Holdi, Mr. Arci. Where are you going? The special stand for important guests is not that way. " Said the host warned.

 "We want to go back." Arci answered.

 "Yes, watching at the Palace with Rizu would be very fun. Plus it's more comfortable there. " Said Holdi.

 "Eh, eh ... Alright then, be careful on the way!" Exclaimed the host to them, which was rewarded by both their hands. Accompanied by the cheers of the audience.

 Then after an hour and a half had passed since the end of the qualifying round, it was time for the Togu City Tournament to really begin. The audience at the Amritzer Stadium, who was impatient to watch the game, looked very enthusiastic waiting for the host of the event to announce the start of the fight.

 "Okay, fine, ladies and gentlemen. The long-awaited battle will finally begin. And this is the arrangement of the names of the participants who will hold the competition! " The host said that shows the composition of the names of the participants who will fight in the tournament.
