Chapter forty one : Pursuit of Dragon

 Now, Dragon must be trapped in a room that has only one entrance, along with the King Velodrian, General Eagle, and Gard. But Dragon has a chance to be able to escape from there, because he has been chosen to be the true owner of a magic necklace inherited from King Velodrian’s Grandfather, which has been stored in that room.

 One of the powers possessed by the necklace is being able to search and find whatever it's owner wants. Therefore, Dragon could try to use it to find a secret way out from the room, because the Grandfather of King Velodrian had prepared a secret passage so that later it could be used to test the ability of the true owner of the necklace "Ghistory", according to the prophecy.

 And because Dragon's condition being surrounded and urged by General Eagle and his troops, then Dragon must be able to use the power of Ghistory's necklace, which is now wrapped around his neck. The King Velodrian who looked enthusiastic also couldn't wait to see Dragon use the power of that necklace.

Then, Dragon started to try very hard to use the power of Ghistory's necklace, he closed his eyes while gripping the necklace tightly. But after a few tries, apparently nothing happened, Dragon couldn't get any clues about the existence of the secret path.

 So that made the General talk to Dragon again.

 "Don’t try so hard, you better just give up. Come with me to the prison ... Because there is better than here. " Dragon cajoled by General Eagle.

 After hearing the persuasion, instead of giving up, Dragon tried even harder, so that Ghistory's necklace would show its power to Dragon. But still nothing happened.

 Then Gard spoke to Dragon. “Please Mister Dragon, just give up. Don't make things more complicated… Come with us, then we can talk about this with a cool head. ” Said Gard.

 While listening to Gard's words, Dragon began to wake up and think in his mind. ("Cold head ?? Yes ... Maybe that's the answer, I shouldn't think about other things like prison or the death penalty, I guess I should try to be more calm and clear my mind.")

 After that Dragon started to imagine about things that could make him calmer. Starting from his grudge against the Night Crow, his meeting with Flaur, a dangerous mission that must be done by him. Then he tried to put it aside first, then his thoughts continued to the moment he met Melinda, his experience fighting against the giant desert snake Zuci with Tatsui, his success in winning the Tournament, until he made many friends. All of these are valuable experiences that he has gone through so that he can become a stronger person like he is today.

 And the thing that Dragon worries the most is, now his friends are waiting for Dragon's arrival, according to the promise that Dragon has made to them. And of course Dragon doesn't want himself to disappoint them all, therefore Dragon shouldn't be caught or locked up in this room. Because he still has promises that he must keep to his friends.

 So for that reason, Dragon's desire to be able to find a secret way out is getting bigger and more focused, because that is the only way for Dragon to meet his friends again, then after that he can complete the mission given by Flaur.

 Upon realizing the determination of Dragon, the Ghistory necklace happily began to flow its energy into Dragon's body and mind, so that the power of the Ghistory necklace could finally fully merge with its true Owner. Shortly after that, a series of images began to appear in Dragon's mind in the form of flashes, vaguely showing what Dragon had to do in order to find the secret passage from the room.

 Then Dragon immediately opened his eyes again, with a facial expression like someone who just had an idea. Then without saying much, he started walking to the side and approached one of the bright crystal balls attached to the wall of the room, then after he was near the lighting device, Dragon started rotating it three times, until the crystal ball couldn't be rotated anymore.

 A few moments later, surprisingly the wall next to him began to open by itself, and provided a path for the Dragon to pass through so he could get out of the room safely, without having to go through the main door, which on the outside was lined with many soldiers to catch him.

.The king felt very amazed when he saw Dragon had managed to use the power of Ghistory's necklace, while General Eagle and Gard seemed to be disappointed because it meant they missed the opportunity to catch Dragon. But they must surrender and allow Dragon to take this golden opportunity, because after all it is the policy of the King.

 Then, before Dragon entered the secret passage, he said goodbye to the King and the others. He also said that in the next opportunity, he would definitely explain the truth to all of them. For now he can't, because he has to go to complete his mission first.

 After Dragon's departure from the room, General Eagle began speaking to the King Velodrian. “Your Majesty, you have simply let a Thief leave this Palace, and that will certainly not be acceptable by society. They will think that the King is not strict about a crime that has occurred in the Palace ... Therefore, allow me to make Dragon a fugitive, and send Soldiers to chase him wherever he go. So that the law in the Nexus Kingdom is not taken lightly by the public. " Said General Eagle.

 “Hmm, you've always been very strict ... Okay, you can do it. I have no right to interfere with your obligations as Protector of the Nexus Kingdom. As I said earlier, since this room is a sacred place specially made by my grandfather, then no one can oppose his will. After we all get out of this room, then you can do what you want. 

 " Said the King to General Eagle.

 Not long after, Princess Reina suddenly came into the room along with three Nexus Storm Knights who have always been loyal to accompany her. The four of them looked very worried about the King's condition, especially Princess Reina. They had heard the news about Dragon's actions, so the four of them became furious and then immediately went to the room to stop Dragon. But now Dragon has left there.

 "Father, are you okay? What happened? Where's Dragon?" Asked the princess.

 Then the King Velodrian casually spoke. “Dragon? don't worry about him. " Said the King to calm his daughter.

 However, General Eagle also spoke to the Princess. "We just finished dealing with him, and he was left this place just now, by going through that secret passage." The general said while pointing towards the secret passage that Dragon had entered.

 The princess, who was filled with anger, immediately invited the three storm Knights of the Nexus to go with her enter the secret escape route, so that the four of them could pursue and arrest Dragon to be judged for his actions.

 Even though the King had stopped his daughter, but stubbornly coupled with overflowing emotions, nothing could stop Princess and her three friends from following Dragon.

 Since she was a kid, the King has never been able to go against the will of his daughter, even though she has nice attitude, but if she is angry, Princess Reina will turn violent. Therefore, at this time, nothing could stop the Princess from pursuing the person who had dared to do bad things against her father. The Princess and her three friends immediately entered one by one into the secret passage, they will try to catch up with Dragon.

 Long story short, Dragon had walked quite far from the room where he got the Ghistory necklace. Currently, Dragon seems to be still walking while removing and take off all of his disguise attributes. Until he made it to the end of the road, because there was no longer a path that he could walk on in front of him. Therefore, Dragon immediately stopped then he began to look left, right, down, and up to find the door, until then he found a board that could be opened right above his head.  Then finally, Dragon managed to get out of the secret passage completely, so that now he could be in another place located outside the Palace.

 Then Dragon tried to check the situation around him, he saw a lot of straw and tools for farming there, so Dragon could immediately conclude that he was currently in a rice barn owned by local residents, who lived in the area near the Nexus Palace. It turned out that the long secret passage route could actually take him out of the palace, but Dragon was still inside the area of the Nexus Royal Capital, which meant he was still not safe.

 Shortly thereafter, with Ghistory's necklace hanging on his neck, and with a look on his face that looked confused, Dragon continued to walk while looking for things he could use so that Dragon could escape from the Capital of the Nexus Kingdom, which was vast and surrounded by a large fortress.

 After walking for a while around the area, he finally entered a farm, where Dragon found a stable containing a lot of horses, and all the horses were seen lined up neatly on both sides of the stable. Initially Dragon just ignored the line of horses, but when he looked back, how surprised he was to find Princess Reina who standing behind him, then walking with a serious face looking at Dragon. Apart from that, the Princess was also followed by the three storm Knights of Nexus behind her. They all seemed to have followed Dragon's footsteps from the secret passage all the way to this place.

 Immediately, Dragon felt shocked and panicked, because he knew that Princess Reina and the three storm knights of the Nexus had dangerous abilities, so without thinking further, Dragon immediately rode the horse that was in the stable belonging to the citizens of the Nexus Capital, so that he could went away and left the people who wanted to catch him, while Princess Reina, Rizu, Arci, and Holdi of course would not remain silent when they saw that, they also immediately chose and rode each horse that was there, while continuing to Calling Dragon's name even though they know that Dragon won't respond to it.

 Meanwhile, Dragon, whose distance was getting farther, continued to spur his horse to the streets of the Capital, which was filled with many people, as well as horse-drawn carriages that were passing along the road, thus making Princess Reina and her friends struggle to pursuit Dragon became very difficult.

Then there was a very tense chase along the road, the horse ridden by Dragon was speeding through the rows of buildings and people walking there. So that the residents of the capital became shocked and panicked when they witnessed that eneny.

 While continuing to spur the pace of his horse, Dragon also began to realize that his current status as a guest of honor had completely turned into a fugitive, plus the situation he is currently in is a very dangerous situation, because Princess Reina and her three friends are getting closer, and closer. followed right behind Dragon while accelerating their horse, therefore Dragon had to try hard to outwit and widen the distance from his pursuers, if Dragon got caught by them, then that's over.

 The residents of the Capital City Nexus who were along the road, felt shocked and hysterical because they suddenly had to step aside so they wouldn't be hit by a fast horse. But they also felt amazed, because they could see the Princess who was bravely chasing the Togu City Tournament Champion. So that the action of the chase really becomes a very horrendous thing for everyone.

 There were even some people who immediately spoke while seeing the incident, “Wow, what dream did I have last night? today there have been two chases. A few times ago, there was a chase between the Soldiers and the three Thieves. Now the princess's pursuit of the Tournament Champion … What a bizarre day. ” Said one of the residents who were on the streets of the capital.

 Now that there is no turning back for Dragon, he really must face his increasingly dangerous destiny, after what he did inside the Nexus Palace. From starting to attack the guard soldiers, then threatening the Royal Officials as well as the King, plus he has taken valuable objects belonging to the Kingdom (Even though the King himself who gave it to him). But for most people, still those were all crimes that could definitely make Dragon a prisoner in the Nexus Capital Prison.

 Especially right now, the one who was chasing him was the Princess and the three storm Knights of the Nexus, with anger that was overwhelming because Dragon had dared to treat her father presumptuously. The Princess continued to be right behind Dragon without giving up her gaze at the person she had considered as the criminal. Meanwhile, behind the Princess, there are three storm knights of the Nexus who also continue to faithfully follow the Princess to help the process of pursuing and capturing Dragon.

 We know that these Knights must be very strong and have great abilities, but they can't use their abilities within the Capital area, due to the large crowd of citizens along the streets, so it would be very dangerous if they used their power there.

 The pursuit effort had been going on for a long time, until finally the speed of their horses had almost approached the main gate of the capital city of Nexus, which was wide open and filled with many people, especially Soldiers who were on guard there. All of them who saw Dragon being chased by the Princess and the Knights, immediately lined up and prepared to block The way so that Dragon couldn't get out of the Nexus Capital area easily.

 But it seems that will not be able to stop the horse of Dragon, because it’s racing so fast, even though the Soldiers who are pointing their spears doesn’t make Dragon afraid, he keep spur his horse till very quickly and confidently, Dragon continued to increase his speed so that the horse he was riding continued to run with all his might, then when he arrived at the line of the guard soldiers, Dragon and his horse immediately jumped high enough, so that finally he managed to pass the line of soldiers and safely exit the main gate of the Capital City Nexus, to continue running towards freedom.

 Meanwhile, when the horse of the Princess and the Knights was about to pass through the gate, the line of soldiers immediately stepped aside to let out the Princess and the Knights so the horse they were riding could continue running without a hitch, then they’re could continue to chase the Dragon who had managed to get out of the capital gate. Princess Reina will never let Dragon get away, with a face filled with burning determination, Princess continues to focus on pursuing her target.
